This awesome 1969 Ford F-100 pickup has lived its entire life in the care of folks who appreciate old iron, nd now that it has retired, t's looking to have some fun. With an upgraded 390 under the hood and a high-visibility orange paint job, t's a practical yet stylish summertime toy that you're sure to enjoy.Yes, t really is too pretty to be original paint, ut someone spent good money freshening up this truck, hile simultaneously keeping the rugged, ard-working look that made these trucks famous. The orange paint is actually quite sophisticated, either too bright nor too brown, ut a medium color that looks absolutely awesome on the vintage sheetmetal. The honest good looks are something many of us grew up with, rom the bright grille up front to the long spear along the sides, nd the chrome rocker panel trim, his is a flashy truck. They took the time to retain all the original emblems, oo, ncluding the 'Ranger' script on the bed sides, eminding us that the Ranger wasn't always a little guy. A durable bedliner protects the vintage steel, nd while it has its share of scars, here's no serious damage in the cargo bay that would suggest a truck that was abused. A set of accessory chrome bed rails not only look great but are useful if you're still going to use this truck as a truck (and you know you will). The basic black interior is surprisingly plush and handsome for a blue-collar machine such as this, nd thanks to the new seat covers, t's ready to enjoy immediately. Faux button-tufted door panels soften the otherwise all-steel doors, style that was popular in the late-60s, nd it goes rather well with the upscale look of the pleated seat and recent black carpets. Ford's interesting instrument panel features a complete array of gauges and a burled walnut applique that warms up the interior nicely. There's a later AM/FM radio fitted to the dash, ight above the controls for the A/C system, hich was very neatly installed under the dash. Although this truck has power steering, he big steering wheel is reassuring for this big rig and makes wheeling it around effortless under any conditions. The engine is a burly 390 cubic inch V8, hich has been upgraded to a 4-barrel carburetor that lives under a factory-style air cleaner and between a set of simple stamped steel valve covers, iving it a very OEM look. The bright Ford engine starts easily and runs smoothly with that seamless flow of torque that only a big block can deliver, aking it the perfect partner in a truck that's built to move heavy things. The A/C compressor dominates the top of the engine, nd its condition suggests recent work, lthough it may need a recharge. Underneath, t's solid and clean, ith a rumbling dual exhaust system featuring glasspack-style mufflers and chrome tips that exit under the rear bumper. The 3-speed automatic transmission powers a 9-inch rear end, o the hardware doesn't even flinch at the idea of real work and Ford's "Twin I-Beam" front suspension has legendary durability. And just in case you want to put this truck back to work, here's a heavy-duty receiver hitch out back. The wheels are handsome Torque Thrusts that now wear fat Michelin light truck radials. This is a fun, olid truck with an awesome look, ll at a very reasonable price. Call today!
