1963 Ford Falcon Additional Info:
Up for sale is this beautiful 1963 Falcon Convertible. While from the outside it looks as though it is a nice restored car it is all original. The tires, ipers, cript headlamp bulbs, hrome, nd all the paint are original to the car. It is bound to be one of the nicest original unrestored Falcons inexistence, nd it's a convertible!! It is a 170 6 cyl. and a 3 speed transmission.
I am selling the car for a dear friend and customer. He is the second owner. The car was bought new in Indiana. It accumulated the majority of it's mileage from a few summer time road trip to California. The car was always garage kept and never exposed to bad weather. The current owner has owned the car 30 years. In this time it has been kept covered in a climate controlled building with the rest of a private collection. Both owners were car collectors and treated the car appropriately as a collector car. With the exception of the fuel pump, il filter, nd fuel tank the car is completely all original FoMoCo parts. . The odometer currently reads a bit over 31K miles, owever you would swear it has way less given it's incredible original condition. The car makes you feel like you have just pulled off a Ford dealer's lot in 1963, true time capsule. The car could easily be shown in AACA meets and likely score it's Junior and Senior against top notch restored cars.
Recently the following items were replaced to insure the new owners will have a perfect running car after it;s storage.New gas tank and sending unitNOS brake master cylinder, nbsp;new wheel cylinders and rubber hosesCarburetor rebuilt and NEW fuel pumpNOS ignition points, ap rotor, nd condenserCooling system flushed, EW hoses, OS clamps and thermostat
The paint is near perfect and all original. All the glass is original and perfect with the original Carlite bugs. The convertible top is PERFECT and operates flawlessly (it looked as though it had never been down before). The plastic rear backlite (rear window) is perfect and original, t is not faded like most all are after a mere few years. The chrome and stainless are all perfect. All the original wiring is great, s are all the original weather strips. Under the dash literally looks like a brand new car! The interior shows no wear. The steering wheel has zero cracks and no wear. The radio works beautifully as well as everything else on the car. Again it;s condition is so near perfect simply due to the fact the car was never exposed to the elements.
The engine starts right up sounds great with no smoke. Transmission shifts as it should and clutch works great. The tires are original and actually look decent. If you were to simple show the car, ou could leave the tires on it. If you were to wish to drive the car much I would suggest new tires. I have driven it only a few miles due to it's original tires. I did get the car up to 60mph, nd it drove very well. The trunk compartment is flawless with the original spare.
The underside shows light surface rust primarily on areas that were originally thin paint or bare metal. This is to be expected with any unrestored car regardless of the mileage. The body has ZERO rust and you will never find one any more solid.
See below for MANY additional pictures. I believe the pictures speak for themselves. This would be the perfect car for a summer family cruise car, r a show car all the same. Again I would highly suspect this is likely one of the most original best Falcon Convertibles inexistence that could be a perfect driver or a car capable of winning many National awards without having to do a thing to it! The car amazes me every time I sit in it, s it looks and feels and nearly is as close to a brand new original condition falcon as you will ever see.
