1963 Ford Falcon Futura Additional Info:
1963 Falcon Futura. Bought to restore, but I have too many projects The little I-6 runs great and gets good mpg. The hydraulic top works, goes up and down on its own, but will need new vinyl as it is showing its age and has lost elasticity. It has the 2 speed Ford O Matic transmission and is a hoot to drive. Even with just a 170 under the hood it will easily do 80. These first generation Falcons were the basis for the first mustangs in 1964, and are mechanically identical. This is a great little car that was used as my daily driver and also taught my kids to drive. It is not show ready, but it wouldn't take long to get it there. There is a list of things that need to be replaced such as knobs, vinyl, carpet, and old rubber/plastic from 1963. If you are seriously considering buying this classic, contact me and I can go over everything I was going to do to it but just dont have the time to do. It is road ready now, passes inspection, and still runs around town with the top down, it just needs some cosmetic TLC. A 1963 Futura hard top fully restored recently went for $23k at barrett-Jackson The convertibles are more rare and worth more, so the potential for this little car is there if that's your thing.
