1964.5 Mustang Convertible
Beautiful 1964.5 Mustang Convertible. This is an original Dearborn Michigan built, D code 289ci V8 4 barrel car with C4 automatic transmission. Refinished in the original color of Poppy Red with white vinyl interior and convertible top. This is one of an estimated 648 1964.5 Mustang convertibles produced in this color and engine combination. Few miles have been covered since a complete restoration. Very clean top to bottom, no rust. This Mustang retains its early 289 engine with unique 64.5 parts such as the generator, eaton power steering, cast water pump pulley, road draft tube, etc. Runs very well, engine was just refreshed and throughly checked over. Also features an original Ford factory AC system that has just been fully serviced. Most parts that are unique to the 64.5 Mustang were retained during its restoration however the wheels, exhaust system, and valance were upgraded to the GT model items. It also has a modern, vintage-look iPod compatible stereo in the original uncut dash. The points ignition has been updated to electronic for better reliability and starting. All features work 100% including the power top and unique 64.5 horns!
