1952 Fiat 8 Sport Simca 8 Sport Convertible Additional Info:

1952 Simca 8 Sport Cabriolet: Rare alloy-body car; owned in California since the 1960's; extensiverecords and history; stored and not driven in 42 years. The Simca 8 badge was sold in France between November 1937 and 1951 (including wartime), available as a saloon, coupé or cabriolet. It was a rebadged Fiat 508C "Nuova Balilla" made at Fiat's Simca plant in Nanterre, France. The post-war coupé and cabriolet were only available after 1948 and these were all substantially more expensive than the earlier Berline models. This particular Simca has been in California well over 50 years, as evidenced by the early black California license plates. According to the records it was repainted in the late 1970's and it has remained stored indoors near Sacramento CA and not driven since at least 1980 (the areas showing alloy were dented during those years of storage). Despite 40-plus years of sitting it started right up for us and we drove it around our facility, although the brakes need attention before it can be safely driven on the road. This is a very interesting model for 1952, a small alloy bodied roadster in that year seems way ahead of its time. Everything included is pictured. Please study the pictures carefully rather than requesting descriptions. Please complete any inspections or ask any questions prior to bidding or committing to buy the car. Thanks for the interest!
