The original Fiat 500, better known as the Cinquecento, was a small city car produced from 1957 until 1975, with nearly four million examples produced. Featuring a compact rear engine, rear wheel drive platform and a tiny air cooled 2cylinder, the 500 was as space efficient as they come. They came in a variety of trim options and a couple different body styles. In 1967, the 500L or Lusso was introduced as a higher trim option and come with more... features than the standard car. Key features were tubular bumper guards, revised dashboard, fuel gauge, carpeting, more chrome trim, new hubcaps, plastic steering wheel, and standard radial tires. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this unique and cute 1969 Fiat 500L for your consideration. According to the current owner, the vehicle was brought back from Europe by a serviceman and shipped to the US in 2001. The KM speedometer and Italian stickers back up this claim as does the Euro front fascia opposed to the US trim. Finished in white, this car has a very nice body but has average paint quality with a bit of discoloration and cracking. The chrome trim is excellent, the canvas room was recently replaced and the factory 13in wheels and hubcaps are in very nice condition. The interior features a surprising amount of room and has comfortable black vinyl seats and matching door cards. The red carpet adds a nice bit of contrast and the dashboard is nice and free of excess frills and buttons. An extremely simple car, this little Fiat is a blast to drive around with its go kart like handling and lightweight. The car even comes with an Italian service manual and the factory tool kit!
