Selling my rare 1983 Ferrari Mondial QV coupe. Vin #ZFFLD14B000044959.Purchased as an investment last year, but I have an opportunity at a F355 that I have my eyes on. This is not the average Ebay Mondial. In fact, I would say this is probably the finest coupe in the US, period. This car was fully restored by its previous owner. No expense was spared, from the full connoly leather interior, every panel and seats were redone, that's a complete leather interior, not a redye!! Cost of leather work alone was around $15K! Brand new carpeting, and the black leather dash was replaced by a more modern and practical alcantara. It looks amazing.
The wheels are upgraded as well as the pedals and shift knob. You can also see a twin radiator fan with upgraded hose, which keeps the car much cooler. A wooden Nardi steering wheel believed to be factory adds "class", and metal Scuderia shields are also added for that extra touch.
All electronics work as they should, windows go up and down perfectly. The sunroof just recently stopped working but you can hear the motor, maybe it is an easy fix.
The engine was well maintained, as you can see in the photo the hoses were replaced with much better quality ones. There is absolutely no leak or smoke. The last major was done 6K miles ago in 2004. A more recent minor service was performed this year. I would not hesitate driving this car anywhere as it is. The custom exhaust was fabricated from a Quicksilver and it sounds incredible.
The paint was completely redone as well, and it looks as good as new, there are no flaws anywhere, and zero rust. The previous owner did all those improvements at a cost of nearly $30K. You can see the last photo shows the car with black bumpers before the restoration.
The car will come with all its keys, papers, and owner's manual. Also included will be a car cover, and several spare parts.
There was a theft attempt in the late 90's where the insurance chose to write it off based on low values at the time it happened. The car was never in an accident whatsoever. The title is 100% clean with no lien. I have owned 34 Ferraris including 17 Mondials, and this is by far the cleanest one I have ever seen. Bid with confidence, I am an avid collector and FCA member since 1998. I sold my other Euro Mondial cab last year, you can see a happy buyer feedback, and it was bought sight unseen.
I encourage the buyer to come see it in person as pictures don't do this car any justice. It shifts smoothly in all gears and drives perfectly well in all situations. If this car isn't as described upon pick-up, I will refund your deposit, period. If buying sight unseen and you don't like it when it arrives, send it back for a refund. I would accept a large deposit if you needed time to secure funds. I can hold the car as long as needed. I can help assist with worlwide shipping.
Feel free to call with any questions (678) 230-7439. I will not take any trades, this is a private sale, so there is no sales tax. The title is ready to be signed over. Sorry, no low offers, these coupes are on their way to the $50-$75K range in the next couple of years following the 308's. It is priced at the restoration cost, the car is free ;)
Snooze you lose. There will probably be never be another one in this condition on the market ever again.
