1958 Edsel Citation Convertible Additional Info:

Here is an absolutely beautiful 1958 Edsel Citation Convertible in amazing condition inside and out. This car is a true survivor, as it appears to be very original, with only one repaint. It has a mere 54k original miles, which is evident from the car's overall condition. The original E-475 V8 engine runs flawlessly, and the engine bay appears to be in showroom condition. All the chrome, trim, and brightwork look absolutely fantastic. On the inside, the interior seems mostly original, except for the seats, and it overall looks spectacular. The car even has its original paint in the door jams and some original weatherstripping, which are still in amazing condition. Open the trunk, and you'll find it in outstanding, all-original condition as well!

This car is truly exceptional all around. It was acquired a touch over a year ago from a gentleman's estate in Texas. The car has been driven sparingly and was stored in a climate-controlled garage. I didn't receive any history on the car due to the owner's passing, but I did learn that he purchased it at RM Auctions in 2008. The vehicle is solid as a rock and 100% rust-free, having spent its entire life in dry climates or exceptional storage conditions. The underside is clean and solid.

It's rare to find cars like this anymore, particularly a '58 Edsel Citation, which is an ultra-rare find in such an amazing color combination. This beauty is extremely scarce, as only 930 Citation Convertibles were produced in 1958, and less than 150 survive today. It was the first year for the Edsel and the top-of-the-line model for all three years that Edsels were produced. Essentially, this was the Eldorado of Edsels. All in all, it is a spectacular and gorgeous car. Don't hesitate on this one, as it won't last long and you may never find another one like it again. Having been around classic cars my entire life, this is one of the finest Edsels I have ever come across!

We sold this car to a very good customer of ours near Cleveland, Ohio, about a year ago, the very first day it was on the market. He has won awards at every car show he has attended since, including first place and People's Choice awards. As a member of the local Edsel club, the club noted this as one of the finest surviving Edsel Citation convertibles in existence. Due to recent medical issues, he is unable to comfortably drive and enjoy the car anymore and has regrettably asked me to place the car on the market for him. Full disclosure: the pictures shown were taken when I sold the car a year ago, but it is in exactly the same condition with fewer than 100 more miles, and the horn surround has been replaced to look like new. Don't miss this opportunity!
