1960 Edsel Ranger Additional Info:

1960 Edsel Ranger 2 door hardtop, restoration project runs drives (Seattle area)Rarest of the rare! 1 of 295 ever made. Mostly original. Original engine, transmission, rear differential. It was white, now it's brown. The brown paint is very old and wasn't done to last (Earl Scheib paint probably).
This has been my dad's since 1990 and we don't need to sell it but he wants to see if there is interest for it. The high bidder wins it.It needs a proper restoration involving bodywork, welding, interior and engine detailing or a serious car lover will just clean it up and drive it as it is..It runs but we recommend towing it. Not sure how well the brakes work above 35mph.
The right front fender has rust in the lower section, the floor behind the seat has some rust holes and the left rocker panel under the driver's door has rust. Most of the panels needed are available because they are the same as 1960 Ford. The passenger door has a dent that could easily pop out from the inside. Behind the driver door there is a dent.
2 spinner hubcaps and 2 plain hubcaps are included.
Rear fender skirts are included too.The trunk floor is solid. The side windows have cracks. The trim has dents and dings, the chrome is a little dull with some pitting. As far as we can see this car has never had any accidents needing any major repair.
There are a few videos on TikTok of the car running along with other short videos of it. Search "1960 Edsel".
We are not in any need to sell this car and it is a pleasure to own, but my dad wants to see if there is interest for it by a serious buyer before we shove it in the far corner of our 26 car garage. Our 1960 Edsel convertible is also in the back corner, not for sale though.
I don't need to say much about the car, it sells itself with a very magnetic personality just sitting where it is.
On the road it attracts everyone's eyes, even those yuppies in Teslas and weirdos in Priuses, they're all staring. If you write a message to me saying "but there's a customized 1959 Edsel for $12,500 in Arizona", you are clueless and need to read up on the history of Edsels.
We had a 1958 Edsel wagon, it sold for $8500 and it was a pile...
My dad has owned 9 1960 Edsels, 2 convertibles, many 2 door hard tops and THIS Edsel is the best out of all of them!

We would like this paid for and picked up as soon as possible if it sells. If the reserve has not been met and it did not sell here, you don't need to contact us trying to buy it because you lost the chance to own it!
The car is located in Renton, WA with a zip code 98057.
