1941 Dodge Power Wagon (WC1)
This is a New Build on a Classic Truck.
6.0 liter LS Motor with a 4l65e transmission(4spd) and 241c rebuilt transfer case. The engine and transmission was sourced from a 50,000mile 2006 Denali. The transmission has a Lokar Style shifter. The engine management is controlled by the original GM computer that was refurbished and supported by "Easy EFI" and was tuned with an HP Tuner.
The body is painted in TCP Global's "Hot Rod Flatz" Firethorn Red Pearl and Anthracite Gray Metallic.
The axles are rebuilt Dana 44's with 4:11 Yukon gears, all new bearings and ball joints. The rear axle is a "Corporate Half" ton axle which is stronger than a typical half ton, and also has a "Powertrax Locker", and Warn front locking hubs. The suspension is a "Ruff Stuff Specialties" 3 link front and Triangulated 4 link in the rear, with the geometry setup for Anti-Dive and Anti-Squat, 10" travel Dual Spring Coil-Overs from FOA Shocks. The truck was placed on race scales to determine the correct spring rates and valving on the shocks at each corner.. The "soft" initial springs are adjustable to where they transition to the stiffer spring. The axles have disc brakes on all four corners. Custom power steering was added and a front billet sway bar.
A new fuel tank from "Just Tanks" was installed in the original location using the original filler neck adapted to the tank.
The exhaust is 2 1/2" mandrel bent pipe, with an "X Pipe" and Walker Mufflers.
The body remains partially stock, the fenders were widened 3" each side to accommodate the new tires and axles, thus giving the truck a 6" wider track width. There was also hand fabricated running boards to integrated with the width of the widened fenders. The original wood bed was replaced with a new style corrugated steel bed covered in a black metallic bedliner for durability as well as noise and so to be able to mount a hand fabricated wheel carrier. The running boards have a section of bedliner where foot traffic would normally wear the paint off. The original door latches were replaced with universal "Bear Claw" latches and 1940 Ford styled handles, both inside and out. Custom bumpers on the front and rear, with room on the front bumper for a winch if desired. The license plate holder on the rear hides the battery, accessed via several fasteners. Remote battery terminals are also located in the engine compartment. The original "flip-out" windshield was retained.
The 17" Black Rhino Armory Wheels are shod in Atturo Trail Blade 35x12.5 tires, including a spare tire mounted in the bed.
The interior includes a Vintage Air AC and Heat system, a BlueTooth stereo, bucket seats with 3 point seat belts. The cab was sound proofed and insulated. All new glass was installed. Stewart Warner gauges are installed in the original dash location. The gauge needs to be calibrated to tire size, via button under dash on a road with a mile marker, instructions included. The Speedometer gauge was replaced as warranty from Stewart Warner, so milage is 30miles less.
