1970 Dodge Challenger Additional Info:

Up for bidding is a 1970 Dodge Challenger Plum Crazy 318 automatic, with power steering, power drum brakes and air conditioning. Was originally a 318 car (JH23G0E) but now has a 383 with a 727 automatic transmission. Car was originally a FC7 Plum Crazy car as shown in the engine compartment and under the rear package tray. No fender tag. All VINs match, dash, cowl, and radiator support.
Car starts, runs, brakes, and steers. Car runs well but will need a carb tuning. New starter, alternator, battery and gas tank sending unit. Power steering gearbox had a couple new seals installed. Firewall under the wiper motor has a little rust that will need to be addressed as well as under the battery tray. Rear end is a 741 case with unknown gearing, open. Frame rails are all solid.
Based off the VIN stamp on the block, I believe the 383 (2468130) came out of a 1967 big car (VIN PM46G9D146138). Transmission I am unsure what that came out of (PK2801543J 2261 1062).
The paint is good for a driver and not perfect. The clear is separating from the paint in some spots. The paint is also chipping in some areas where there is surface rust. There is some rust that will need to be addressed but there is nothing completely rotted through. Pretty solid car.
The floor boards are solid front and back. Interior is missing trim, headliner, and sail panels as well as AC vents. Ignition/key and gauges do not function. A switch panel was installed to safely start and turn off the car until the wiring under the dash is cleaned up and in working order. The shifter works and car shifts, but the handle will need to be fix. Trunk is in great shape. The trunk pan center was replaced at some point.
Extras that ship with the car: factory gauges, carter carb, torque converter, new headliner, chrome valve covers.
