I AM LEAVING THE STATE ON AUGUST 31ST AND MOVING 1800 MILESI AM THE 2ND OWNER OF THIS CAR, OWNED FOR 42 YEARS, CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW AT TOM MATSONS VALLEY MOTORS IN AUBURN,WA IN APRIL OF 1970, AND STILL WEARS ITS ORIGINAL LICENSE PLATES AND NOS FRAMES FROM THE DEALER. ORIGINAL OWNER MODIFIED CAR IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE BY ADDING KEYSTONE MAG WHEELS, LAKEWOOD TRACTION BARS AND ANSEN VALVE COVERS, THOUGH ENGINE REMAINED STOCK, WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR IT WAS OF COURSE ALL ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE, I HAVE RECENTLY RESTORED THE CAR BACK TO FACTORY CONFIGURATION [PER FENDER TAG]..NO BROADCAST SHEET WAS FOUND IN CAR AS IT WAS BUILT IN THE LOS ANGELES PLANT AND FOR SOME REASON THEY DID NOT PUT MANY SHEETS BACK IN THE CARS... LUCKILY THE CAR IS ALL NUMBERS MATCHING!....RARE TODAY HOWEVER; THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ARE SLIGHTLY MISSTAMPED... VIN IS JH23HOE118914 ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ARE STAMPED WITH MIXED UP LETTERS.. OE118491 ENGINE HAD NEVER BEEN OUT OF VEHICLE UNTIL I REMOVED IT FOR REBUILD. ENGINE WAS REBUILT PER OEM SPECS BORED .030 OVE, 10.5 COMPRESSION FORGED SEALED POWER PISTONS WERE USED, ORIGINAL CRANK AND RODS WERE REBUILT AND RE INSTALLED. HEADS HAVE HARD SEATS INSTALLED WITH ALL NEW STAINLESS VALVES NO PORTING WORK WAS DONE ON THEM, CAMSHAFT IS A STEP ABOVE STOCK IT WAS AN OLD LUNATI CUSTOM GRIND 280-290/ 443-465 SPLIT CAM WITH 62 DEGREES OF OVERLAP.. ORIGINAL INTAKE AND CARB AND AIR CLEANER AND DISTRIBUTOR ARE ON ENGINE AS WOULD BE EXPECTED FOR SUCH A COMPLETE ORIGINAL CAR, CAR WAS NEVER EXCESSIVELY RUSTY JUST COMMON PACIFIC NORTHWEST MINOR ISSUES, BACK WINDOW PIN HOLES IN LOWER CHANNEL AND CENTER OF TRUNK FLOOR ..REAR WINDOW DUTCHMAN PANEL WAS REPLACED WITH AN [NOS ORIGINAL PIECE], TRUNK FLOOR WAS REPAIRED CORRECTLY WITH AN ORIGINAL RUST FREE ARIZONA DESERT PAN DRIVERS FENDER WAS REPLACED AFTER A FENDER BENDER IN THE SNOW IN 197, BUT IS AN ORIGINAL MOPAR PIECE OF COURSE. EXTERIOR TRIM, LENSES, EXHAUST TIPS, TURN SIGNAL SW, IGNITION SWITCH [ELECTRICAL, VOLTAGE REGULATOR, AND MIRRORS ARE ALL NOS PIECES RESTORATION WAS DONE WITH AS MUCH OF THE CARS ORIGINAL [BORN WITH] PARTS AS POSSIBLE..THOUGH I DID CHANGE ONE THING, THE CENTER CONSOLE AND SHIFTER ARE 71 UNITS, I PREFERRED THE T- HANDLE SLAP STIK SHIFTER AND THE CONSOLE W-ASH TRAY AT REAR OF CONSOLE. INTERIOR UPHOLSTERY IS ALL LEGENDARY, DASH WAS REDONE BY JUST DASHE, DOOR PANELS ARE ORIGINAL TO CA, CORRECT WIDE SEAM BLACK VINYL TOP WAS INSTALLED AS WELL AS CORRECT HEADLINER, SEAT BELTS ARE ORIGINAL AND JUST CLEANED UP, DASH GAUGES AND PLASTIC PANELS ARE ORIGINAL, ORIGINAL SPEEDOMETER IN CAR QUIT AT THE CURRENT MILEAGE [DUE TO SPEEDO CABLE DAMAGE ], WORKS PERFECTLY NOW WITH A REPLACEMENT [BUT ORIGINAL] CABLE I INSTALLED.SO EXACT MILEAGE OF CAR IS UNKNOWN BUT SUSPECTED TO BE AROUND 100K MILES AS IT WAS A DAILY DRIVER FOR 9 YEARS BY ORIGINAL OWNER. THE ORIGINAL AM 8 TRACK RADIO WAS RESTORED TO [AM/FM 8 TRACK]... LOOKS STOCK BUT HAS CURRENT ELECTRONICS AND SPEAKERS [SOUNDS PERFECT] AND YES 8 TRACK WORKS ORIGINAL JACK AND SPARE TIRE STILL IN TRUNK ARE NOT RESTORED... 65K WILL BE FOR SALE UNTIL AUGUST 30TH..
