Up for sale we have a 1971 Dodge Charger RT. This Charger has under gone a full restoration. It's a factory U Code car and has matching numbers 440. Also, it has the Dana 60 Rear End and Four Speed Transmission. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Dodge, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Charger. The body is laser straight and covered in the Hemi Orange which is the factory color of this RT. It has the Black RT stripes down the sides and on the hood with the Black wing and tail panel. The hood has the factory hood pins. Also, it has the dual sport mirrors that are done in the body color. The paint on this Charger is very slick with a deep shine that's slick to the touch. At the time of the build they installed new seals and weather stripping. Al the glass is good along with the trim. This RT is sitting on a set of Factory Rallys with rims and caps. The tires are BF Goodrich white letter tires.
Next, we will take a look a look at the interior or the RT. On the inside it's all done in black with the factory buckets. This Charger does not have the console, but it does have the Pistol Grip Shifter. The seats, carpet and door panels all look new as does the headliner. Looking at the dash it has the 150 MPH Speedometer with a factory 5500 Red Line tach. The dash pad looks very good along with the trim. Being a Four Speed it has the reverse eight on the dash. Also it retains the factory seat belts and radio.
Finally, we will look at the driveline of the Dodge. Under the hood this Charger is powered by the matching numbers 440 Magnum that's mated to the matching numbers Big Four Speed. The power is put to the ground by the Dana 60 Rear End with 3.55 gears. This Charger came only with Heat. It has the standard steering and brakes. When you look under this car the floors look as good as they did back in the day.
