1972 Dodge Charger Rallye Additional Info:

1 Owner, 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye, factory Petty blue big block car?

I purchased this car to build my way. After going through the car I found that this might actually be a rare car worth restoring to original condition. From what I have looked up, it appears to be a 72 Charger Rally with the hide-a-way headlights. It does not have the A57 order code on the fender tag, but I have read several stories about Rallye cars not having it. I bought this car because it had everything I wanted for my Charger build up and it is a nice, straight, solid body. Here is what I was able to find from the fender tag information:

Drivetrain- No engine or transmission.

Body-The body was stripped and etch primed, so what you see is what you get. Some rust in floors and body, but overall very solid. Dent that has been pulled out at very back of PS ¼ panel. Rust in DS frame rail right in front of rear tire. It is not bad and that was the only rust I found in the frame. The windshield is missing, the rest of the glass is there and good.

Interior- Rallye dash, buckets, console. All of it needs to be restored, but it’s in pretty good shape.

Suspension- Front disc brakes, rear drum, 8 & 3/4 rear (NOT sure grip and I do not know what gear ratio), sway bars (rear is missing), steel wheels with nice BF Goodrich tires (rear 235/60/15s, front 235/60/14s).

Other- The VIN matches the fender tag, door sticker, and the core support. The title was reissued(got lost?)in 1980 to the same owner. Obviously I did not purchase this car new in 1972, but according to the paperwork, this should be a 1 owner car. Please do your own research! I am not a #s guru. If it doesn’t sell, I will build it my way. Please understand, I am not short on time to work on the car. I am a teacher so I have all summer. Although teachers are paid weakly, I have the money allocated for this project. I am only offering this for sale one time in case it is as rare as I think it is and someone wants to restore it back to original. This is a no games auction. It is not listed anywhere else and there is no reserve or buy it now. You must bid on it to own it.

Payment- Full payment is due within 7 days of auction's end. Car must be paid in full before it leaves my yard.

Shipping- Shipping is the buyer's responsibility. I may be able to deliver the car along I95 North of me for an additional fee, but you would have to work that out in advance.
