1971 Dodge Dart Additional Info:
You are bidding on a very nice 1971 Dodge Demon that has a complete frame on restoration. Everything on the car is new. It has a rebuilt early 70s 360 small block that has been bored .030 over with a Mopar Purple Camshaft. *Sounds great* This engine has the Fitech EFI kit on it with the command center fuel system. 4 Speed Transmission with Pistol Grip Shifter, 8 3/4 Rear End with 3.91 Posi. This car has 4 wheel disc brakes with aftermarket wheels/tires. Interior is all new and immaculate. Paint color is Plum Crazy Purple and is very slick and straight. This car is very solid all metal no bondo! Aftermarket gauges in the cluster. Everything on the vehicle works as it should. Overall this is very sharp car that's had a lot of money spent on it. Once again everything is new with only a little over 500 miles on everything. Now for the bad. When the engine was reinstalled everything was fine for a few hundred miles then we noticed that the oil pressure had dropped down to around 20lbs when hot. This engine still holds 50-60lbs when cold, but no doubt there is something wrong inside the engine because of the low oil pressure and when it is warm it does smoke a little bit. With this being said you will need to remove the engine and go back through it to see what the issue is. If it wasn't for this I would be asking $40,000 for the car it's that nice! I am figuring if you remove the engine and do the work yourself you should have less than $1000 in this repair, because the car still does run and drive. We just parked it after this issue occurred after 500 miles. This car will only be listed for 7 days if it does not sale I have a brand new 340 on an engine stand that will be installed. I will then relist it for $40,000. This is your chance to own a show quality Dodge Demon for this price. I have put a very fair reserve price on this car, because of the engine issue. My loss your gain. Good Luck and Thanks for checking my auction out.
