1968 Dodge Coronet Additional Info:
Up for auction is my true barn find 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T convertible. This car has been in barn storage since 1977 until now. It is a true WS27L8G car with a mint original fender tag, no sheet and the driveline is not original. The car was born a PP1 red, white interior, black top stripe delete 440 auto on the column with AM radio, center folding armrests, fender mounted turn signals, 3 speed wipers, power steering and manual drum brakes. The original 440 is missing and in its place is a 1968 383 4 bbl with original HP exhaust manifolds. The car Is missing very little as far as parts go. The original radiator is still in place as well as a perfect dashboard with nice, uncracked vinyl upper and lower dash pads. 150 MPH speedometer is in perfect shape and even the door panels look ok. Now the bad, the car is very rusty especially in the back. The front frame rails look as does the torsion bar crossmember. The front torque boxes are rusted and the rear frame rails are gone. The rest of the rust is typical 50 year old B body stuff, it needs front and rear floor pans, the rear under seat pan is good, the fenders are bad, the 1/4's are bad, the decklid is bad, fortunately the hood is good. This is a restorable car, but it will take a lot of metal work. I planned on buying a 68 Coronet deluxe 4 door parts car as a metal donor, but priorities have changed.
