1972 Dodge Challenger Additional Info:

It's hard not to get excited about this 1972 Dodge Challenger. After all, it's a beautiful coupe with all the right sporty touches, including a 340 V8 with performance upgrades and a four-on-the-floor. So it's already quite appealing before you remember how fewer cars Chrysler built than it's Big Three counterparts.
The Challenger's shape is one of the most popular muscle car profiles in history, but there's something on this one that makes it look even more exceptionally eye-catching. The gunmetal gray was on the factory color palette in '72, but today it does a great job of looking quite modern. The same goes for the hood scoops that were borrowed to make the modern Challenger look aggressive. We know you love the shine that comes form-hugging bumpers and those 17-inch American Racing Torq Thurst alloys (with wider rubber in the rear to tell everyone that serious power is meeting the pavement.) But the most aggressive elements are in satin black. The complete set of black R/T stripes accents the curvaceous rear end sheetmetal, and the large rear wing offers a menacing finishing touch.
The Challenger's interior was one of the best in the era for enveloping the driver. You get a comfortable high-back bucket seat. And the center console gives you a direct line to the iconic pistol-grip shifter. This is a very driver-oriented setup with the controls for the heat as well as the upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo all within easy reach. The three-spoke sports steering wheel is a Mopar classic, and beyond that is a full set of gauges, including the addition of a very handy tach.
The 340 cubic-inch V8 is already a Mopar legend. So it's nice to have a correct one under the hood of this coupe. But it's the upgrades that really get us excited. You have a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, MSD ignition, and long-tube headers that feed the H-pipe dual exhaust. Best of all, you get complete control over this enhanced V8 and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the original four-speed manual transmission. So this is a true performance Mopar, and it even has a thick sway bar up front, CalTracs traction bars in the rear, and grip of modern tires so you can maximize this muscle machine.
With the prices of Challengers continuing to rise, this is the perfect one that's turn-key ready to have fun today, and it's also the one you want to hold onto to build the Mopar of your dreams tomorrow. And it's all available right now if you're quick enough to grab it. Call today!!!
