This 1968 Dodge Charger was used as a parts car back when new aftermarket sheet metal wasn’t available, which is a shame because it looks like it was a solid car before it was parted out. I have a clear Kansas title for the car. According to the VIN and cabin floor pans, this Chargeroriginallycame witha big block 383 (2 barrel) and floor shift 727 automatic transmission. The cabin floor pans are as good as you can find for original cabin floor pans. The front sub frame rails are also solid. The torsion bar cross member is solid except for a spot on the bottom surface on the outside end on the passenger side (see pictures); due to the location, the cross member could be patched instead of replacing. The right rear frame rail is very solid but the left rear frame rail is rusted and will need repaired or replaced. Both rockers will need patched or replaced (see pictures). The tail light panel, radiator support, part of the firewall, and both lower rear window corners were cut out for use in another Charger. Please note that when the radiator support was removed, the forward sections of the inner fenders and front frame rails were taken as well so you will need to either graft in a used B body radiator support/inner fenders, etc. or install new sheet metal from Auto Metal Direct (AMD). The firewall was cut below the spot welded flange; which is good because it left the factory spot welds which can be drilled out and the mating surface will remain intact. This will make installing the new firewall easier. The passenger quarter panel could be saved with some lower patches. The driver’s side quarter panel has received some poorly installed patches, so it will probably need replaced with a full quarter panel-the one from AMD that goes half way up the rear pillar. The trunk floor pan and rear valance will need replaced. When I bought the car, it didn’t have a rear end or rear suspension. I had a spare b body housing and used springs, which I used to make it a roller. It does have a single track differential, but the diff doesn’t have a front yoke and I’m sure the differential is not useable. I don’t have the original engine, transmission, driveshaft, seats, speedometer, front fenders, hood, grill, radiator, bumpers, taillights, wiring, environmental box, etc. I have a clear Kansas title for the car but I do not have the fender tag or broadcast sheet.
The wheels and tires in the pictures areNOTINCLUDED since they were installed just to roll the car around. The car will come with the random/worn outwheels/tires that I received with the car.
