1972 Dodge Dart Additional Info:
The original owner left this car to her grandson from whom I purchased it in 2013. Runs and drives fine, passed VA inspection the last three years. Currently licensed and insured in VA. I have the original window sticker and owners manual. Previous owner claimed mileage is correct and odometer has not been rolled since she only drove it to work, the grocery store, and bingo. Paint is faded and worn.
318 2 barrel, 904 auto, 7-1/4 rear. Only option is power steering. I believe the carburetor and radiator have been replaced, fuel gauge does not work, may need a new sending unit. Probably could use a carb or rebuild, has to be pumped a lot to get it started when it is cold, but still fires up in cold weather and runs fine once it is warmed up (no hesitation on acceleration). May need a instrument cluster light bulbs, the car is 45 years old. Carburetor and radiator appear to be aftermarket.
Passenger side fender and front valence appear to be aftermarket, the rest is all original unless noted. Had a black vinyl top which I removed, chrome trim is still there. Only major rust is the roof seam behind the rear side windows (as noted, it did have a vinyl top), and around the antennae mast base.
There is one small tear on the top center seam of the driver seat (about 3"), and one small tear on the headliner under the driver side shoulder restraint. No cracks on dash pad, carpet is nice. Top of doors on the interior have been spray painted by previous owner.
If you want additional photos videos or info, please contact me, I want to ensure all bidders/potential bidders have all the information they are seeking since this will be sold as-is, no warranties, and no returns. Downsizing and getting out of the car hobby. Buyer is responsible for arranging pickup/delivery.
