1971 Dodge Other Additional Info:
Up for sale is my 71 Dodge Demon. I just got it a year ago and health reasons forces me to sell it. The story I got on it is it was restored in either the late 80s or early 90s. It has no fender tags but it is a real Demon 340 4 spd car. I found out by taking the seats out that it was factory Winchester Grey with a vinyl top. The trans and engine are not original. The motor was rebuilt and has less than 500 miles on it. It runs great but don't know the specs on it. It leaks a bit of oil out of the gasket at the back of the intake onto the headers. I installed a new min starter. Also included is a complete MSD ignition. It was on the car when I got it but I couldn't get it timed to where it ran the best so I stuck a stock set up back in and it runs much better now. The exhaust is all new and I think its 2 1/2". The trans shifts great. The rear seems to be the original and has 3.91 gears with sure-grip. It has manual brakes with disc up front. It has manual steering. It has a new gas tank that the previous owner put in it last year before I bought it. It has factory 14" rallyes on the front but the rear wheels are custom wider 14"s.The interior is decent with a good headliner, seats, and new dashpad. The one door panel has a rip on it. It has new carpet that is included. The dash still needs work. The speedo doesn't work and the amp gauge is off some. The heater core leaked when I started running it so I bypassed it. The body is real good. The floor has been patched at the clutch pedal when they restored it but they cut it all out and welded in a clean patch. The roof has been bondoed at the 1/4 seems and is cracking from sitting. There are some other bad spots in the paint from peeling and being scratched but still very presentable. The spare tire well in the trunk is the only rust I can find on the car. It is thin and has a lot of flaking and some smalls holes I pushed through. The back bumper is straight but the chrome is rusted and peeling off. It needs mirrors and a marker light. All in all its a great car that just needs small details to be finished. I should add I personally wouldn't drive this thing really far because the low gears and 14" tires make it a slow ride so if you live a long ways away think seriously about hauling it instead of driving it. Just my 2 cents. Located in Oxford, Pa. 19363
