Selling my 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T convertible.
Car is Y2 yellow, lack top, hite interior. Factory 440, amcharger hood, uper Performance Axle Package (4.10 Dana), onsole automatic, allye Dash, ight Package, ower Windows car. The axle package included the power disc brakes and upgraded “054” radiator. Has an SPD of 801 for Aug. 1st of 1968 and one of the unique VONs that indicate this was probably one of the factory show cars. Has original fender tag but no build sheet. Only 23 of the 69 R/T convertibles came with the 4.10 axle package.
Condition:
Today it is a decent driver, howing its age. The paint was done in the early 80s and has some cracking, hips and a scratch along the passenger-side quarter panel. From a rust standpoint, think it is pretty solid, as an old repair on one of the front rails and the rear rails have some scale on them but I think are solid. One old patch under the gas pedal but the rest of the floors are good. Trunk extensions are gone but the trunk floor is good, oors seem good, enders good. I assume some work was done at the bottoms of the quarters when it was painted, ut they look pretty good. Rockers will need repair/replacement at some point. I put new carpet and Legendary seat covers and door panels in it 7-8 years ago and they still look good, op is in good driver condition with no leaks, ash works as it should but the gas gauge isn’t always accurate. Power windows all work, s does the power top. New wiring harnesses from Year One were installed under the dash and in the engine compartment. The “old” exhaust in several of the undercarriage pictures was replaced.
Mechanicals:
It has a 1968 (I think) block and I rebuilt the engine 7 years ago, as a Voodoo cam, B pistons, 40Source Rods, 40Source aluminum heads, 40Source Deep Oil Pan, ertronix Ignition, olley SD intake and a Holley 770HP carb, nd Year One reproduction iron manifolds. It starts reliably and runs very strong, hile looking pretty stock and fits under the Ramcharger setup. I replaced the automatic trans with a Keisler TKO600 kit, hich also works great and hasn't had any issues at all. The floor hump was trimmed cleanly and will be easy to put back in when the car is restored. Correct Dana 60 rear, o noises, tc. I built the driveline to be very reliable and it is, s long as the battery tender has been on it, t starts every time. Wheels are Torq-Thrust TKO, 7x7 and tires are Riken Raptor 255/50/17 all around.
