1963 Dodge Polara 2 door Additional Info:
1963 Dodge Polara Convertible. This is a Canadian built Dodge that has not been down here in the states until I bought it from a restoration company in Canada a couple of years ago. I do not find any rust on this Dodge. The top is what I would call the original from 1963. It has one short tear on the back side corner about 3 inches long. The rest of the top is in very good shape on top. I have not been able to get it to go up and down and I have not tested the switch to see if it is working properly. New switches are available. The tires on the car appear to be about 20 years old so I would not drive this car far on them. I have done a complete tune up since I bought the car. New distributor, wires, plugs, fuel pump and top grade battery. The engine runs excellent. The trans has been serviced and works good along with the rearend, brakes (power) and cooling system and power steering. The Radiator was redone before I got this car and is in great shape. The exhaust was changed to dual with stock type muffles before I got the car. The bucket seat, center console interior is in good shape for the year. Some of the seams on the bottom of the seat in front are showing signs of wear. This Dodge has a tilt wheel that appears to be original. Blinkers, head lights, console lighting all works. Someone added a tach to the instrument cluster. The wire for the temp sending unit was cut some how. I have a brand new engine wiring harness that I will provide with the car. Chrome and all trim on this car is very nice, especially the front and rear bumpers. Left rear tail light chrome has a few spots where the chrome is not so good. This car has not been registered here in Oregon. I have all the original contract purchase documents from the seller so it will be easy to register this car where ever. I will provide a Bill of Sale to the new buyer. All the glass in this car is very good except the rear window is fogged over due to age.
I do have a couple of other parts for this Dodge that I will sell as a package deal to the new buyer for additional money. They are:
NOS correct original antenna. One on car is broke off. I paid $200.NIB 4 barrel intake manifold. Out of production form years. I paid $500.Very nice used instrument cluster complete and tested to work. I paid $400.
I will sell for $800.00 separately.
Today I started the process with DMV to transfer the title to my name. Next Thursday I will take the car to DMV to verify the VIN and then they will issue the title in my name. DMV here is only open one day a week.........
