1935 DeSoto Airflow SG Sedan
1935 DeSoto Airflow SG Sedan - ready to restore, resto-rod or go full custom! Per the prior owner, this car has been in dry storage since the mid 1960's. It has an incredibly solid body with very little, if any body rot (although it does have surface rust on fenders and rust on the bottom of the crank out windshield frames). Has beautiful original art deco gauges in great condition, and even a roller rear window shade! It appears to be missing the original hood ornament, air cleaner, one set of rear seat springs, hubcaps and I'm sure a few other odds and ends. The car rolls on original Artillery wheels.Inline six turns (not frozen) - but no idea if it can run asthe original drivetrain was of no interest to me as a street rod guy.
The last six images on this listing are of other DeSoto (or Chrysler) Airflows that I fell in love with (and subseqently the reason I bought this car). They are obviously not a part of this auction, but show different examples of just how cool these cars are. (BTW, if you are the owner of one of these cars and want a picture removed, please let me know and I'll do it right away).
I am selling thiscar (and a few of my other projects) because I just bought a couple of gorgeous finished resto-rods in the January auctions, and I am now looking to add some room back in my shop (and bank account). Car comes with a clear, California title (signed off and ready for a new registration).
The car is located in Paso Robles, CA - exactly 1/2 way between Los Angeles and San Francisco - on CA Hwy 101. More specifically, I'm 200 miles to greater LA or SF, and only 110 miles to either Bakersfield or Fresno (either/or....same either way).
If you are a sincere buyer, you can call me at 805- three nine one -0509 (cell), or email me directly at hotrodranch@live.com.My name is Scott, and I happy to answer questionsabout this project (or any of my other projects being offer)......but please askBEFOREyou bid!
This car is also offer for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early (but ONLY if there are NO bids on the car). And if you are a new ebay buyer (with no feedback yet), you must contact me first before bidding, or I will cancel your bid. This isbecause I've had two experiences where new bidders never even contacted me after winning an auction.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
