1961 DeSoto Adventurer finished in Glacier White with Red interior. Odometer shows 90,307 miles. a 361c.i. Firebolt V8 producing 265hp/370lb-ft of torque and backed by a Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission.Features consist of; 15" wheels, correct chrome hubcaps, dual rear antennas, remote control fender mirror, AM radio, analog clock, heater, courtesy lights (including working dash-mounted courtesy lamp), washer bag, freshly upholstered red and white vinyl seats with black velour inserts, new carpets, independent front suspension, rebuilt brake system, redone wiring harness, rebuilt dash electricals, refreshed fuel system, refreshed heads, rebuilt carb, new 12-volt charging and starting system, and refreshed engine bay. This car has a documented ownership of a Richard Weller from 1990-1998. It was again purchased in Maine in 2015.The DeSoto Adventurer went through a change nearly every year of its existence. In the beginning, it was DeSoto's top-of-the-line performance car during the boom year of the late 1950's. The engine size and horsepower rating changed just as much as the body did. A 4-Door variant was not available until 1960 when it took place of the convertible. This was the last year for the Adventurer as DeSoto was on its way out of business and was the only year with a variety of colors to choose from.20 under 30 Part of a collection of 20 cars located and purchased to go in a museum honoring the founder of a family business who owned and drove these same cars. Recent circumstances changed the completion of the museum and all twenty automobiles were commissioned to be sold. All 20 under $30k, all 50's-60's American 4-door sedans, all in good working order and very good condition. The total expense in locating and purchasing, and reconditioning these Classics exceeded $600,000.
