1969 Datsun Roadster 2000 Mikuni "B" cam

1969 Datsun Roadster Additional Info:

Motor and and top end rebuilt using NOS parts.NOS Mikuni carbs that came with air filter and intake manifold were sourced plus a new B cam as part of the package deal was installed. 5-speed transmission has been serviced and rebuilt. Rear leaf springs re-arched, distributor re-curved. Shocks replaced. Rubberized under-body spray was employed and also used in trunk..Reformed dash by "Just dashes". New hard top. Correct sized tires purchased. .America Racing Lebre rims balanced, powder coated and pin striped.During body/paint work a new old stock rear quarter panel in the box was sourced and was installed on the quarter that would have needed more than a thin skin of surface bondo. The color scheme was matched to a photo in a magazine I found from the 1968 or '69 Tokyo auto show where Datsun showcased both a roadster and race car examples panted this exact two tone style. New vinyl on front seats and door panels. Includes soft top with armature that I never used and may need restoration. Flaws include inside door pulls have not been installed and may not have the screws. Hood support arm needs to be manually swung/set in place [on support track] to keep hood open. Hood release needs some adjustment or repair as hood latch will unlatch sometimes while driving. Clock works however likely not accurate. Couple spots on paint could be gently buffed. Small crack in bumper. Some inside bits of interior trim need adhesive [see photos @175368999855]. Driven sparingly [less then 500 miles] since restoration. Will be keeping the license plates and car will be fitted with a paper temporary in rear window. Super powerful and tight Runs like a dream.
