1973 Datsun Other Additional Info:
Up forthis no reserve auction is a 1973 DATSUN 510 2 door coupe w/ an L20B Stroker motor by Troy Ermish. I have a handful of invoicesamong other receipts from TroyErmish where work had beenperformed from 2001 thru 2004. Troy built the motor as thereceipts states which is a 2.3 stroker. I spoke with Troy last week and he says today's price on this exact motor build is $4,400.00 He also installed a 4.11 diff w/ LSD, a race cam, glass pak, shortened the drive shaft, added the cam oil sprayer and a few other modifications. The car has the flared fenders that arefoamed filled - not great but that's what most of the 510 guys do - not by me.
The car is currentlyregistered in GA but has NO TITLE as it's not required on older cars here and will be sold on bill of sale. My understanding is that you can apply for a title in your respectivestate as there is a titlenumber on the GA registration. I can forward pics of theregistration upon request.
This car was, from thereceipts I have, a West Coast car and thus has held up well thru the years. The car is a runner!! Here are a few details: New Weber Carbs, 4 wheel disc brakes w/ JFZ calipers, custom fabricated oil pan, sway bars, coil over suspension, 82/83 ZX 5 speed transmission, headers, electronic fuel pump, Borla muffler, fuel pressure gauge, roll bar, new upholstery on rear seat, Corbeau Race seats, new 15" Gold wheels and new 225x45x15 Nitto tires.
We will be adding a new radiator and a BRE front chinspoiler over the next few days as I had already purchased them but not shown in these pics. There is NO gas pedal and tach doesn't work. This car isn't going to win any beautypageants but it's a fun track or street racer and it doesn't like to sit at idle. Weadjusted the new carbs but the lastdetail the new owner should perform would be to jet them as they will pop due to leaness. As you can see from the photo w/ the valve cover off - appears that not many miles have been put on the motor since Troy built the motor 14 years ago.
Recentservice includes: Mobil 1 oil and Nissan filter, trans fluid changed, diff oil changed, newthermostat, new plugs, system flush, valve adjustment, compression check (all good 160+), Dot 5 brake and clutch flush and new MSD box.
There is no headliner and bits of sound deadening are stuck in various areas that was there when I got it. The spare tire well has been cut out and a flat pan is in it's place.
The floors are covered in aplastic type covering which I can showyou with additional photos as 24 was the limit here. All in all this 510 is in good shape - it has a lot of thegoodies that folks want but again it's not a prom queen and encourage you to come see it before purchase. I am in the middle of 3 Z car builds now which means this car has to go... I will do my best to describeexactly the condition of the car so please do nothesitate to call me at 850-502-1055. The car is located in Alpharetta, GA justoutside Atlanta. Thankyou for looking!
