1976 Datsun Wagon Additional Info:
This wagon has grown wise since it was newly built in 1976. It has experienced miles of adventures that anygoogle search (or even a respected novelist) would fail to illustrate and describe. It has seen good times, bad times, times of worry, enjoyment, frusterationand nervousness. I would bet to assume that it although it's excited to meet its 'partner in crime,' there has to be somesort of anxiety that goes along with it. This wagon is ready and has no plans of letting down its new owner. This wagonisn'tmeant to be parked in a barn...it's meant to 'breathe', 'live', and 'be free.'
There are blemishes in both the interior and exterior as shown in the pictures, but overall, it is not inhorrible shape whatsoever. Rust spots are in the usual places. It starts right up but could use a tune up and some elbow grease to bring her back to life. The 4 cylinder L20B engine provides the power to the wheels; the wheels include the original hubcaps. Original rear "folding" bench seat along with theoriginal steering wheel. All of the exterior lights work, turn signals blink and brake lights respond as intended. The horn works and has a high "Datsun" pitch. The two original bumpers are huge and some Ratsun fanatics describe them as park benches; I agree. It's not the fastest car on the street but driving fastisn't what this wagon wants to do...it wants to enjoy the road without being distracted by a navigation system, wireless bluetooth, refrigerated center consoles, or other self-diluting features that suck the marrow out of what a car is meant to be or what it wants to do. The carpet is brand new along with the brake master cylinder.
