1972 Datsun Z-Series 240z Additional Info:
Up for sale is a very nice example of a survivor 1972 Datsun 240z that has been very well maintained and kept in service over the years, and it is an original Texas car that has held up very well and runs and drives as good as it looks. As can be seen in the pictures above, this is a Numbers Matching car that has not been butchered or cut up over the years. The original interior is in awesome shape and has also had special care not to modify anything like the dash for a modern stereo, and that was done by loosely installing an auxiliary modern radio and speakers instead of cutting the dash or interior panels as so many of these cars have fallen victim to.. The car is very clean and tidy because it was always well cared for, and that is what saved this 240z from falling victim to the typical under hood imperfections and corrosion that typically comes from neglect, which is why the engine bay is so clean and tidy. The door jambs and door bottoms are very clean and tidy also, and that also includes the bottoms of the doors and hinges also, which comes from this being a well cared for Texas car its whole life. With being a Texas car, it was important to have the Dealer Installed AC System, and it works and blows cold with a recent service and conversion to R134a Freon and Oil. The body and paint on the car is very nice overall for its age, and it does have some typical minor chipping and small dings here or there, but it a very clean original color car that looks as good in person as it does in the pictures. If you take a look at the under hood pictures supplied, you will also notice how straight and clean the forward side of the core support and body structure is. The pictures show No Previous Damage or Repairs to make this 240z original and as structurally solid as the day it was built, which we all know is extremely hard to find with these cars due to the light duty bumpers and very often light hits these cars are typically victim to. The bumpers, trim, and windshield/back glass rubbers are very clean as they appear in the pics, and the interior is actually cleaner than appears in the pics if you can believe that, and gauges, lights, and accessories work with the exception of the clock. If you are looking for a nice 240z that has not been abused over the years, this would be the one for you. Please feel free to contact me for any specific details you may need, and this car is not and was not ever a common rust bucket that comes from anywhere other than the southern states, so do consider that when you bid on others.. If you look at the pictures of the supplied Owner Books and information, you will see that it was delivered and sold in Houston Texas and delivered to Alabama in 1972, and it went to Alabama for a short period of time and then basically spent the rest of its days in the state of Texas. I have not been able to verify the miles for sure, but I strongly believe the 93k miles is original to the car just by its underneath, jamb, and under hood appearance, so I would be very surprised if the miles have exceeded that being that everything works as it should and appears as it does. I will post a photobucket link to additional pictures down below, so please do take a look at them and let me know if you need anything specific in pics or details, and I will be happy to get that to you promptly and accurately.
