1971 Datsun Z-Series Additional Info:
1971 Datsun 240z numbers matching series 1 with a 4 speed. Car has a recent glass not removed repaint in its original color dark green (Nissan code 907). It retains all its original Nissan glass. The car was lowered 1 1/4 inch with new springs and shocks. (original springs will come with car if you want them) Brakes were redone with new front calipers and pads, rear cylinders and shoes, and a new master cylinder. Emergency brake currently is very weak, but I will include a replacement cable. Car has new bumpers and tail lights. New tires, 195/60R15, and new Rota 8 spoke wheels, 15x7, have less than 100 miles on them. Interior is nice. It has recent original style vinyl seat covers and carpet. All gauges work, even the clock. Dash has one crack in the center above the 3 gauge cluster. (last photo) Headliner is perfect. Steering wheel is a very nice correct early wheel. Door cards are good but driver's side has a couple of nicks on the top. Seat belts are nice originals. Radio is an aftermarket and is not hooked up. Mileage shows 5847 but actual mileage is unknown. Wipers are currently not working. Passenger's floor shows previous repair. (see photo #21) Engine starts easily and runs smoothly and doesn't overheat. Cold compression check shows 155-170 on all cylinders. Engine has slight ticking sound like a lifter needs adjustment. Clutch feels solid and transmission shifts smoothly up and down. Syncros are good. Shifter linkage has play like these early cars do before they started using plastic bushings. All and all a very desirable 240z series 1 that shows well and will get compliments. I have a clear title in my name.
