1970 Citroen DS 21 Pallas Additional Info:
1970 Citroen DS 21 Pallas. Condition is Used. I pulled this out of a dry well kept barn in upstate new york earlier this year, where is had been parked as a running car in 1987. I planned to get it running but had an accident and ended up in a wheelchair for many months, and I have too many projects and winter is coming, so I need to reduce the fleet a bit to make up for some lost time. Car is located at Dave Burnham Citroen in Delanson, New York, and will need to be picked up from there. Working with your shipper, domestic or overseas, is not an issue. Car was repainted in original color some time in the past...that paint is peeling off, you can peel off big strips if you have OCD it is fun, and the original paint underneath is very nice. Don't know why is was repainted.. The interior is very nice, no cracks on the dash, just needs a good cleaning.. The car is almost rust free, a few bubbles appearing on the passenger door, that's about it. It has always been inside. The engine has not been run in 32 years and I have not been able to turn it over with the crank.. Engine is original. Mileage is 51000. Beleived to be accurate. Spheres were removed and jacks installed by Burnham Citroen so the car is not sitting on the stops...it's a lot easier to move. The radiator shroud and other parts that were removed from the engine to check it out are sitting in the trunk. The car is very well equipped with air conditioning, citromatic transmission, and radio,It is an original, unmolested barn find project car. Very hard to find these days. What it will take to get it running is unknown. Sold as-is and you or your agent are free to come and inspect the car before bidding, by appointment, in Delanson, New York, near Albany. Note I say inspect the car BEFORE bidding....your bid is not a bid for the right to inspect the car AFTERWARDS and then decide if you want to pay...it is a binding contract, no less, and payment is due via wire transfer within 72 hours after auction close under all circumstances. Pickup can be at your leisure, but I am being charged storage by burnam citroen and I will pay it for two weeks after the auction end...after that, you can work it out with them.. They are very nice people, but don't have unlimited room. They are also probably the leading specialist for these cars in the USA, so they work on these.
