1970 Citroën AX ID21F station wagon Additional Info:
Im selling my Citroen ID21F break, wagon or estate as it’s called. This is an original Nevada car. I purchased it from the Great-Granddaughter of the original owner. The TITLE WAS LOST by them. I was unable to state the title was lost in this listing. I do have many DMV registration documents to aid you in getting a title. Many of the original documents and repair invoices since the car was new will be included. Also included will be the original window sticker and keys. OTHER THAN THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW THE CAR IS COMPLETE. I WILL GET SOME PHOTOS OF THE BODY ASAP.
The car has rust in various places but mostly in the front edges of the floors and in the sills which is shown in the photos. There is also rust below the rearmost windows fortunately not directly below the glass. This rust is also on the outside above the rear wheels as shown in the photos. The paint is original, blistering, brittle and coming off in various places on the body. The hood is bent in the very middle front with paint coming off the aluminum in many places.
The tires hold air nothing more. The front bumper is bent in places, the rear bumper looks good. The rear taillight lenses are faded. 2 of the stalk switch arms are broken. The emergency hand brake is missing the part used to release, another replacement part is included. The emergency brake cable was removed from the calipers but is in place otherwise.
As you may know all parts are available for these cars including all of the necessary floor and sill replacement parts. If you are a good welder or know someone who is this would be a good project. The floor and sills are made of of straight bent steel so if your going to fabricate the parts it’s not difficult. I've painted the front floors with black POR-15 which is the reason some of the photos are showing the rust and others are painted black.
The rear glass has slipped from the gasket about 1/2 an inch on the right top.
It has it's original engine which is a DX2 model. Attached is a 4 speed manual transmission. I have turned the engine over but it now appears to be stuck. Not sure what is needed regarding the engine.
A good running engine will be included. The engine is a DV3 model and will not come with the transmission as shown in the photos. The engine is also missing the starter, fuel pump and pressure regulator and HP pump.
The car has A/C. The milage reads 80871. I have no idea if it's correct.
The car needs a windshield, an antenna, seat belts and one hood latch pin. Some of the locks don't work on the car, a new set of lock cylinders w/keys will set you back $30 from a number of suppliers.
I have the turn signal and marker front lamps and another front bumper rubber piece that will come with the car.
If you have any questions feel free to send me a message or call 951-318-7030 and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have. I've listed this Citroen honestly, please ask questions if you need clarification. I have many other photos but was limited by eBay. Contact me if you'd like to see more photos or would like to have a photo of a certain part. I've tried to show all rust areas.
The car must be picked up from Helendale CA zip code 92342 which is about 1.5 hours from Los Angeles.
Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. I will hold the car in my garage for 10 days if arranged before purchase. $500 deposit + 3% for Paypal fee's. Please pay the rest in cash at pickup.
Thanks for taking a look! I WILL GET PHOTOS OF THE BODY SOON. THE CAR BODY IS COMPLETE AND IN GOOD SHAPE HOWEVER THERE IS SOME RUST SHOWING THROUGH IN PLACES.
