COLLECTOR’S VEHICLE or MUSEUM EXHIBIT! A head-turner—no one has ever seen one!
Custom made for TV/News company by US Motor Corp. Limited edition.
I am the third owner. I bought this van in June 2015. It had 31,000 original miles. It has been kept in a garage until May 2024. The odometer stopped working at 37,198 miles after a few years. It has only driven a few hundred miles each year since then. I estimate the mileage to be around 41k or 42k now.
It used to have a roof-top A/C unit. I removed it and installed a second opening skylight. The previous owner moved the battery to behind the driver’s seat (more accessible). They also removed the generator, installed storage units, and built an excellent folding bed platform over a storage box.
Plus a stainless steel sink (faucet not connected), & water tank. The LED display is not working—it seems the wiring was all disconnected prior to me owning it.
Clean underneath (except for usual surface rust).
Other remarks:
*No passenger door. Friends try to get in that side, haha!
*No A/C.
*Radio turns on but I haven’t heard sound.
*Engine is accessed through the hinged panel behind the dash. A bit awkward.
*Odometer and speedo do not work.
*Gas gauge is unreliable but low gas warning sound works.
*Lights in rear cabin not working
*Camper cabinets a bit rough
*Driver door window broke. Plexiglass replacement taped in.
*Fiberglass panel under front bumper is cracked.
*Rubber door seals need replacing
*Large side windows are solid with no openings.
*Wipers work but are a bit floppy. The tubes for washer fluid pop off on accasion.
*Driver’s seat cloth is torn.
*Carpet removed. Will need to be replaced. (Floor feels a bit flimsy—may need reinforcing).
*Very occasionally the headlights and indicators start blinking temporarily on closing the door or when the battery is reconnected. It lasts a minute or two and then goes away. There appears to be a short somewhere that I haven’t found
