Here is a running currently registered 1961 Chrysler 300-G with no rust ever may have been painted once years ago
This car is one of 1282 originally built and now there are less than 100 currently registered so a scarce item for sure!.
Bought new at Famed Strandquist Motors in Rockford Illinois!!
"GOLDEN LION" "RAM INDUCTION" decals still intact on quarter windows!!
Original Aluminum "FORWARD LOOK" Ignition and Trunk keys still in good shape .
PREVIOUS OWNER SPENT $1200 WAY BACK IN IN 1965 modifying the hood with the two scoops . Very nice job paint is still generally smooth and shiny . INTENTION WAS TO MAKE THEM FUNCTIONAL EVIDENCED BY THE CIRCLES CUT IN THE INNER METAL (SEE LAST TWO PIX)
Also the car was rumored to be "DYNO TUNED" by Mr. Norm of GRAND SPAULDING DODGE way back in the day..
Engine upgraded to a 440 about 1966 due to a machine shop mishap on the orig 413 .
Carbs air cleaners linkage and lines are oem yet .
Factory original cable driven tach works fine also.
REMOTE CONTROL MIRROR LOOKS AND ADJUSTS WELL.
Drives smoothly and quietly .
Coker radial tire, altho put on years ag, still look good and ride ok .
Been stored in a dry rodent free garage all of its life .
Interior is clean and shows minimal wear . No ciggy burns ever .
Hagerty Insurance appraised it at $66,000 a year or two ago.
