1951 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 Additional Info:
1951 Chevrolet 3100
Selling my old school 1951 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck. I purchased this truck from Texas in April 2016 and had it shipped here to Connecticut. The truck is solid besides the damage to the passenger side cowl, which is creased due to someone letting the door swing fully open.
The previous owner advised me that the truck was painted several years ago. The paint that appears to be "Burple" from House of Kolor shows some minor blemishes, scratches and dings (great driver not a trailer queen or 100 point truck). The top was painted a custom satin milkshake white to breakup the solid color and add style. Added the 50's metal visor and lettered it for a little attitude. I hand waxed the truck and it shines really nice as you can see in the photos.
I drive the truck 2-3 times a week and it is very dependable. I have NOT driven it on the highway, just locally to car shows maybe a total of 100 street miles. If it sits for a week or two just pull the choke halfway and it starts right up every time. Has a stock 216 engine with a stock 4 speed manual transmission on the floor. Shifts good through all gears once you get use to it. It drives like an old truck, no power steering or standard options (nothing like a 2017 Silverado). All safety inspection accessories work like the headlights (hi/low), horn, wipers, brake lights, emergency brake etc. No signal lights just old school hand signals.
The stock frame is solid and doesn't have any cut/welded modifications. I had the truck dropped 3 inches all around with the use of a 3 inch dropped front axle, 3 inch dropped rear leafs and shortened steering components (all bolts ons).
Interior seat and door panels were redone with white diamond patterned vinyl like material. The dash was painted the same color as the truck and pinstriped with neon green accents. Neon green and white pinstripe accents were also added to the exterior, so everything flows. The floors are solid, there is a small hole in the passenger side floor about the size of a nickel. I did not paint/undercoat theundercarriage, so nothing would be hidden.
I updated the coil and ballast block to distribute the 12 volts correctly through a new battery. Rebuilt the stock 1 barrel carb and installed a new fuel pump. Has an original oil bath cleaner. Gas tank was dirty, so it was cleaned out and a fuel filter was added to collect any debris. The truck does drip a little oil on the garage floor. I power washed the engine, but have not had time to check the valve cover or repaint the engine. Everyone is updating these trucks with bigger more dependable engines, but I like the nostalgic look. A lot of people at the shows comment on how good these engines were and how cool it is to see the original drivetrain still intact.
As you can see I went with brand new custom powdercoated neon green 15x6 Artillery rims on new Coker 165R15 2 1/4 inch whitewall radials. The neon green rims and whitewalls compliment the interior and exterior pinstriping. It was a crazy move, but it has paid off with compliments and always draws attention anywhere I go!
Not done and don't need immediate attention because no one notices them and they don't affect the drivability of the truck: -No headliner installed or included.-Hairline crack on the driver's side vent window and driver window. Probably from slamming the door shut. All windows function correctly and do not leak. The rest of the windows are intact and in good condition.
I have several misc. parts that come with the truck. For example, driver's side chrome mirror kit, ext. gas filler gasket, the pass. side cowl replacement panel and an extra set of aluminum 15 inch rims/tires (pictured).
It should be noted that Connecticut DMV DOES NOT issue Titles for classic vehicles just standard registration. I will provide the buyer with my up to date registration, so you would not have any issues with your DMV. I took a photograph of the Texas Title (surprisingly CT DMV didn't keep it) I received from the previous owner to show it's previous history. He advised me that it came from New Mexico.
Again, this is a dependable really cool old school truck that gets attention and is fun to drive! If you are serious feel free to contact me on my cell phone, (203)521-78 five eight, for more information or an I-phone video of the truck running/walk around. I don't have access to Ebay emails all the time, so calling or texting is more convenient!
I'm thinking about updating my ride, so I can fit all of my family (Don't have to sell). Not trading for other rides at this time. Not for sale locally either, don't want to see it around.
Thank you for looking at my auction and stay safe!

I also have the stock spare tire holder (very good condition) and the hardware that goes underneath the bed. Unbolted it because it rattles around when there isn't a spare tire in it. Definitely will be included with the truck!
