We just took this killer 3100 in on trade a few weeks ago, and it has been the driver of choice for everyone at the shop because it is so freaking cool!

Built locally just a few years ago, and driven an estimated 5,000 miles since completion, the truck is just what you see - a radical looking, clean running, smooth driving fun machine that breaks necks like a chicken farmer when you drive it!

I have personally put at least 150 miles on it in the last couple weeks, with the longest trip being about 40 minutes of navigating in-town traffic before I got to the interstate for a fast run back to the shop. It is a hoot to drive.

It is titled as a 1951 Chevrolet pickup, and has the desirable 5-window cab too.

Body is all steel, and it is beat up, dented, dinged, bent, broke, rusted, and gorgeous.

YES! It really has actual rust and rot and all that good stuff, but it is NOT in any area that threatens the structural integrity of the truck. It has more pinholes than Grandma's knitting cushion, and a few brittle areas that let you break off a little memento to give to admirer's.

The body is solidly mounted, and nothing is loose or going to fly off on you, but it is a true patina truck with real character built right in!

Door shut and close better than most of the high-dollar restores we've had, and the hood closes great and has a functional safety catch too.

New halogen lights work great, and really light up the road for you.

Brake lights, fender mounted marker lights, tail lamps, turn signals, and running lights work like they should.

Dual air horns work like they should too!

Dual exhaust system comes out of the bed sides and has semi-flappers as caps. It sounds AMAZING, and gives the neighborhood one more reason to hate you.

18" front and 20" rear wheels look fantastic on the truck, and tuck right in to allow driving and turning of the truck at 1.5" off the ground!!! The are wrapped in 245/35ZR-18 tires in the front and 315/25ZR-20 out back with only about 5,000 miles on them.

Glass is clean and good all the way around, with no cracks or anything, and light mild tint on everything except the windshield.

Bed insert was custom made with the raised floor, and looks cool. It is solid enough to hold two people on folding chairs with a cooler, and is well-built.

Fuel tank on the bed is a newer addition to the truck, and works great and is easy to fill!

An S-10 chassis was used as the base for the truck, and it got treated to a bunch of good stuff, like a full AccuAir air ride system with programmable wired remote, all new tie rod ends, balls joints and stuff, and a complete disc brake system from the lines to the slotted and cross-drilled rotors that stops the truck without any weird pulling or excessive fade.

A 5.3L fuel-injected GM V8 was pulled outta something, and carefully installed into the truck with an LS1 intake, LS billet fuel-injector rail kit, Spectre air intake, custom over-sized aluminum radiator with large electric cooling fan, and a bunch of other junk that nobody really cares about.

Inside, it is a beat up old shop truck interior with a red/black plaid seat cover that has a tear and some small seam pulls in it, matching door panels, painted window rollers and door pulls, and easy glide side windows with new window tracks and regulators, and all new door and window weatherstipping that's just 5000 miles old.

Headliner panel is pretty clean, and the sun visors are like new.

Battery is recent and is tucked behind the seat.

Stock brake pedal has a decent rubber pedal on it, and the homebrew gas pedal looks like an afterthought but works and feels really good when driving.

Carpet is pretty nice, and the floor mats are used and abused but do the trick.

Dual cupholders were made and mounted to the floor.

Old wooden rim 3 spoke wheel sits on a GM tilt column of unknown origin, with the requisite billet signal and tilt arms installed.

Wipers work, as does the headlamp switch.

Dolphin gauges are installed, but only the oil pressure and volts are hooked up and working.

AccuAir gauges in the dash work too, and a aftermarket AM-FM CD stereo was fit in the old glove box area and sounds decent enough to keep you awake driving home from a long cruise.

It LITERALLY starts with the push of a button, thanks to the custom key fob transponder ignition system with dash mounted start button! Once running, the truck idles clean and solid, and is ready to go at a moments notice.

Snick the tranny in gear, minding the fact that the pointer on the column is NOWHERE NEAR what gear you are in, hit the gas, and start driving! The truck is so easy to drive, anyone in the house will enjoy taking it out for a spin, and the power steering and easy to adjust air ride system make even parking lot maneuvers a breeze.

It shifts smooth, and feels like a powerglide transmission, with a solid grunt off the line and long smooth cruise after that. The person who traded it in didn't build it and didn't know, and I wasn't able to get it on the lift because its tied up with a Jag restoration project.

I had it cruising at a GPS measured 70mph, and it wasn't complaining, and power comes on at any speed with a press of the gas pedal.

Ford 9" rear tucks in nice, and it feels like a high 3's gear ratio based on 30 years of driving this kind of stuff.

Handling is confidence inspiring, and once you figure out the best ride height, you may want to program it into the remote for future use.

It will cruise at 1.5" inches off the ground (at trucks lowest point) and is fully capable of turning at that height as well. Another 2.5 inches up is still easy to drive and cruise, but any higher than that and the handling gets a little sketchy. It was built to drive low, and that's where it is happiest.

It really is a blast to cruise around, and it hasn't done anything funny, stuttered, stumbled, overheated, stalled, backfired, or anything else in the time I have had it.

Previous owner had it for his wife, and she drove the daylights out of it, cruising all over SWFL without any issues.

I took 125 photos of it from every angle I could, and I encourage you to ask questions, come see it, or arrange for an inspection if you want to PRIOR TO BUYING IT.

I don't have anything to hide, and have tried to cover every part of the truck as best I could.

It has a clean FLORIDA title, and is ready for a new owner.

The vehicle is located in our Fort Myers, FL warehouse, and is just 20 minutes away from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) if you want to fly in and see it.

I welcome outside inspection services BEFORE YOU BUY OR BID.
