im listing this for my husband.hes away and doesnt have access to a computer at the time.if you have questions i can get those answered.he does have a 570 feedback score at 99.7 % if that helps.thank you.
this 68 chevelle listed here is the real deal,a original super sport 396-325 h.p.as it was when it left the factory.including its original drivetrain and all numbers &date code correct engine.besides having the right muncie M20 &12-bolt 3:31 rearend,it still retains even the correct carburator still in the correct color, code (h) grecian green.not many super sport chevelles were painted this color.factory black bucket seat interior.the body is excellent.has had the front floor pans replaced in the past and was done right.all other sheetmetal is in great shape as well.including rockers,quarters,trunk,doors,ect......all door and panel gaps are precise.doors, hood &trunk open and close as good as new, they should car only has 114,000 miles.paint is very nice probably a 9.there is the typical small imperfections, but theyre so slight a digital camera cant produce them.all chrome and stainless is near perfect.including bumpers.still retains the 4 t-3 headlights.it has a bushing in the suspension make a squeak on a uneven surface sometimes like in or out a driveway, but un-noticeable on the road.most everything works like it should,lights,wiper,tachometer,horn,ect...... gas gauge has a mind of its own?,ground may not be good.this car is extremely,HIGHLY detailed, top to bottom.underneath looks like under the hood!!...........it also has a few options:
AO2-tinted windshield L35-396-325 h.p. U03-tri-volume horn
A51-bucket seats M20-muncie 4-speed U16-tachometer
C08-vynil roof cover N34-sport style wheel U63-push button radio
D96-body stripe N40-power steering U73-rear mount antenna
J50-power brakes PW8-red line tires ZJ7-ralley wheels
if your looking for something different than the normal, then this qualifies.probably the most rarest of colors that year for a super sport chevelle every where you look youll find red,blue,black,white,ect......it seems that whoever ordered this car wanted only a bare bones fast car.no a/c,no console,no frills.just a tachometer and a 4 speed handle sticking up thru the floor.car runs and drives excellent.ive had 68 chevelles ive sold in the past, and a couple of people asked why i painted under the doors and bottom of the car black??ALL ss cars in 68 came like this,no acceptions, thats normal.
i mentioned earlier on that this cars all numbers and date matching, heres how it breaks down:

cars like this thats never been abused are getting harder & harder to find.most people are keeping them now and not letting go.the nicer they ar, the scarcer.as far as values go,the CPI black book is a good one to use.a lot of the major classic car auctions use them.CPI doesnt have a class"1" listing.they just list class"2"and on down.class"1" cars are are so few to be found or sold to make a legitimate comparison.those are usually nos restored or un-touched survivors?this car is whats considered a class"2"in the current book a 68 super sport 396-325 is $52,900.my reserve for this one is alot lower than that.these sales figures are calculated from actual sales reports from auctions and private sales.not speculation as some think....so somebodys going to get a good deal thats going to increase in value.
im a dealer doing business as hathcock auto sales &restoration i dont sell junk,so what you see and read is what you get.like all vehicles this age,if your bidding, your accepting it as-is,no warranty expressed or implied.if you have to get permission from someone else to bid or purchas, then get that beforehand and please only bid if you have the funds to follow thru.im not going to wait on a loan or an appraisal co.imput.this not only waste my run time, but also someone elses chance to get a car that they may want.there is no deposit....BUT,within 3 days of auctions end full payment will be required.NO EXCEPTIONS.or it will be offered to the next highest bidder.i have to do this because im not always available for a week or so at a time.i have to be like this because of a few bad apples.
do your due diligence before bidding.vehicles of this age sometimes has faults of their own, seen & un-seen.un-foreseen things could exist that were not known to past or present buyers or sellers.all statements in description and here are based on opinion.upon winning bid or purchase your acknowledging you have read and understand the info stated here.you also relieve and hold the seller blameless of information contained or omited.you have to list this kind of stuff, because some will think its your responsible for knowing or should know the whole life of a car since new?which i dont......................i have a friend that works for a major transport co.he can usually get cars moved for around .40 to .55 cents a mile?.i had a buyer want a car moved from buying it from me to ga.(some 425 miles for $200.00)thats cheap.
