Chevy C60 1966 truck with a 69 foot Sponco Aerial Ladder Unit

This is Chevy C60 1966. The VIN is HC6836Z166177, this is a 2 ton, commercial, cab and chassis made in Freemont CA. It was a working truck until about 10 years ago when it was parked. It is not currently running. It is a V8, It has a high intake and a Holly on it. The engine turns, the oil is good and it holds water in the radiator. It have a manual 4 speed and a slip rear end (8 forward gears). It is a plain Jane interior, but the bench seat is lookin’ good. All gages there, heater blows, glass is all there. Has a regulator wheel issue on the driver’s side. The passenger side is missing a couple of pieces. It also has 3 fuel tanks, one behind the seat and 2 more old style outboard left and right. The truck is fairly complete, has some rust, but is solid.

The ladder is a Sponco 69 foot ladder. Hydraulically lifted with cables to extend. It runs off 24Volts (2 semi truck batteries). Most of these are 55 footers, but this is a 69 footer – the heavier and better ladder. These are seen on fire trucks. There is a remote control, so it can be run from the top or bottom. The cables look good, it was running when parked. This is a rare truck, and an excellent restoration candidate.
