You already know that the post WWII Chevrolet Advance Design pickups are some of the best-looking haulers ever built, and when they're as smooth, sleek, and downright gorgeous as this 1948 Chevrolet 3100, it's easy to fall in love. But it's this truck's modern A/C interior and performance V8 that will really seal the deal.Funny how the vintage shapes wear contemporary colors so well. Silver has been around for a while, but the depth of the clearcoat and the shine of the metallic element are clear indications of a recent investment in the best modern paint practices. Speaking of silver, the only thing that can outshine the paint is this tall truck's huge silver streak on pieces like its wraparound bumpers, original badging, and legendary five-bar grille that stand out like a pristine art deco skyscraper. Plus, those 25-spoke wheels have both a classic and speedy look. The better-than-new classic appearance even extends to the wood truck bed, where the lumber and chrome have been restored to make this blue collar hero look like it never saw a day of work. By the way, if you love the look of wood here, just wait until you open the door. The interior still has the great chrome and high ceiling cab that makes this truck feel like an instant classic, but once you sit inside, the 1940s begin to melt away. The utilitarian bench seat has been replaced by two custom leather powered buckets with a custom center console in-between. The silver of the exterior has been joined for a burgundy accent color. Plus, uniting the inside and outside appearance is plenty of dark wood trim on the door panels and dashboard custom made by Wabbits Woodworks that coordinate nicely with the truck bed. This pickup was truly made for cruising with great features like the AM/FM stereo with iPod hookup, cup holders, and ice-cold air conditioning. But the best treats are reserved for the driver. You grab the Lokar shifter with your right hand, and you left one will love the Grant GT sports wheel wrapped in matching wood. Beyond that is a full set of classic-style VDO gauges to keep you informed about what's going on in the engine bay.Open the hood, and you see a terrific presentation of slippery silver paint combined with just about every component polished. This is the same color scheme as the exterior, so you know car show judges will love the look. But beyond just a stellar appearance, the 400 cubic-inch small block V8 was the largest displacement Chevy made for the first generation of these legendary powerplants. They work great in trucks because of their serious torque ability, but in a custom pickup this cool, you already know there has been some nice upgrades added, too. There are go-fast goodies like the Edelbrock performance intake and Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor. But don't just listen tot the rumbling dual exhaust, view where it comes from in the undercarriage shots. There you'll also see a great presentation of black and stainless steel that really is telltale to how much was invested in this restoration. The undercarriage also let's you in on this truck's secret to being a truly great driver. It has an independent front suspension, power steering, a TH400 transmission, and there's even four-wheel disc brakes. This is the vintage pickup that looks terrific on the outside, and all the modern upgrades to keep you comfortable on the inside. Plus, its enhanced power heart means you get to run with the biggest toys out there. All this appeal is why you know you need to be quick if you want to take home this classic. Call today!!!
