1967 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
Exterior Color: Sunfire yellow Interior Color: Black Engine: 427/390HP V8 Transmission: 4 speed Miles:45966 1967 Big Block Corvette Convertible. This is a collector quality Corvette that is about as good as it gets. If you are wanting a numbers matching, restored to original condition, California, Big Block, convertible this C2 truely deserves your consideration. This Corvette was built in St. Louis with the following Equipment: L36 427/390 Engine K66 Transistor Ignition G81 Positraction rear with 3.55 gears M21 4 speed close ratio 4 speed U69 AM/FM radio A02 tinted Windshield A31 Power Windows A82 Headrest K19 Air Injection Reactor When the car was restored the tank sticker was removed from the car and preserved. We obtained the car from the caretaker who purchased the Sting Ray 23 years ago from a Southern California Corvette dealer. He bought the car because his inspection revealed that it was a rust free California car sold new in the San Diego area, the body had no signs of any repairs and the drivetrain and components were numbers matching and very original. He verified that even the shock absorbers were original to the car when he found it. At that time the car had been resprayed red. The engine had just been rebuilt and he was given the receipts for the rebuild. After purchasing the car in 1993, the new owner began a three year restoration on the Corvette. He lifted the body off the chassis, changed the body mount pads and cleaned the frame and underbody. The body parts were removed (doors, rear deck lid, hood, lights and valance panels). The body and its parts were chemically stripped down to the red oxide primer. The car was repainted with the correct Sunfire Yellow lacquer paint. The bumpers were rechromed and OEM front grille, tail lights and bezels were sourced. The Chassis was repainted with GM black chassis paint. The front and rear suspension parts were cleaned and repainted in the correct colors and finishes per the NCRS manuals. New bushings, wheel bearings and brakes were installed. Four new Delco OEM shocks were also installed. A completely new exhaust system was used including new stainless steel mufflers, exhaust pipes, exhaust tips and rear bezels. During the restoration the transmission was resealed and new synchros were installed. The original shifter was rebuilt. The differential was resealed, the radiator was replaced with an OEM unit, the heater box was rebuilt with new seals, the window motors were rebuilt, and the headlight motors were rebuilt. The engine was also cleaned and painted, the carburetor was rebuilt, the alternator and starter were rebuilt, and the Air Injector system was rebuilt. All hoses were replaced and correct hose clamps were used. OEM battery cables, OEM steel braided ignition wires and an OEM battery tray were installed. The steering box was rebuilt as well as new rag joint and a new upper steering column bearing. The Interior was restored including new seat foam, leather seat covers, door panels, and new carpet. The clock, which is working, was rebuilt. Interestingly the clock was rebuilt as original and not converted to quartz movement. An OEM power steering system was installed and an OEM power brake booster was installed. As you can see from the pictures this Corvette was used very sparingly since being restored. It is a beautiful, high quality, numbers matching, big block, corvette convertible. Please call Mark @ 949-466-5733 Chris @ 707-688-3932 if you have any further questions, Thank you
