There's plenty to like about this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. For starters, it catches the model at a great time in its evolution, combining the curb appeal of its late second-generation design with a strong array of features. Secondly, it comes complete with a collection of maintenance records and build receipts to back up the attentive care and skilled workmanship it's received. Add to that its high level of originality inside, outside and under the hood and you can see... what a rare find this 'Vette really is. This drop top still proudly wears its original Sunfire Yellow color - a unique and hard to find shade that complements its low-slung form nicely. As a '67, it closed out the second generation of the model, benefitting from refinements that came before its debut that resulted in one undeniably great looking classic. A stronger foundation than those of the previous generation sits underneath its body to provide safety while on the road while also yielding the dividend of a straight, well-aligned appearance more than a half century after it first rolled off the line with nice, even gap lines surrounding the doors, hood and deck lid. The chrome on display here is also in good form - the front and back bumpers are straight and level and the trim surrounding the windshield presents very well. In back, stainless-steel dual exhaust tips peek out just the right amount from their bezels - one of this Corvette's many great styling cues. A black vinyl convertible top was recently added, so you'll have the benefit of its protection and clear plastic window should the weather change while you're on the road. The black vinyl interior has been thoroughly refurbished while retaining its original configuration and it's a definite strong point. The low backed bucket seats look great, showing very little signs of use and sitting to either side of a center console in the same condition. Climb behind the wheel and you'll have one of the most inspired dash areas of its time looming just in front of you. Corvette's aeronautically themed dashes were standard bearers in their time and are still to this day awesome to behold, with a full assortment of gauges positioned in the cove-shaped instrument cluster, a collection of neatly positioned control knobs off to the right and a contoured, black dash pad above that shows no cracking. There's an impressive level of functionality in this cockpit, as the gauges and even the generously proportioned analog clock sitting just above the vertically mounted AM/FM stereo all work as intended. The original 327 cubic inch V8 below the hood is one of Chevy's best known powerplants - an efficient small block good for 300 horsepower and featuring a Holley 4-barrel carb. It looks great in this setting, with proper Chevy orange paint on its block and valve covers and a properly badged chrome air cleaner on top, and pairs with a 4-speed manual transmission that allows you to take direct control of this classic American sports car (the original 3 speed manual comes with it as well). In an era when its competitors generally featured leaf springs in back, Chevy was arming their Corvettes with an independent rear suspension which, combined with its wide track and low center of gravity, makes this '67 a great corner carver, while power disc brakes on all four corners brings it to a stop promptly when needed. This beloved vintage Chevy sits on a set of 15" Rally wheels outfitted with Michelin tires. Looking sharp and carrying exhilarating small block power under its hood, this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible offers a rare chance to nab a well-equipped second generation 'Vette still sporting its original colors both inside and out.
