1959 Chevrolet Other Apache 3600 Additional Info:
1959 Chevrolet Apache Fleetside Longbed 3600. Very rare to find this condition. Southern California truck.
History: Manufactured at LA Chevy plant. Well maintained in So Cal as a work truck. Retired to garage in 1992 and kept in running condition. 2012 truck moved to Midwest.
Body: taken to metal before repaint, see pic. Color is 1959 turquoise 2 stage professionally done. only known rust: 1.5" area patch in driver floor pan, 1.5" corrosion up inside left front fender not patched. Truck is a driver so there are a few nicks and wear that don't show in pics, call it a 5 footer. after market back bumper. Correct emblems.
Bed: Oak bed with stainless steel strips & bolts, rhino liner
Interior: professionally painted dash, after market correct gauges, Mexican blanket seat back, seat belts, rubber floor mat, vintage heater with bypass valves. floor starter pedal
Frame: straight, no evidence of damage or repairs, still spots of paint here and there. 3600 is a 3/4T truck it's a stout frame.
Drive train: Original work truck drive train. 235 stovebolt six. No smoke. Appears motor never opened. 1bbl rochester carb manual choke. 4 speed trans with granny gear. Floor shift. 4.57:1 rear differential. Brakes stop fine. Cooling system works as should.
Accessories: vintage after market heater, rear spot light under bumper, toolbox, dome light
Known Issues: horn button works but requires tinkering. Drive train typical slight drips and rattles. Speedo works, needs calibrated. park brake sometimes sticks on releasestio
