Outstanding Survivor 1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo If you have ever been fortunate enough to experience the ownership of a truly unrestored, low mileage, original vehicle such as this, then I think you will agree that no matter how much money is thrown into a restoration, nothing can duplicate the feel of an original. This car was purchased from the estate of the 2nd owner and has accumulated approximately 54,000 miles according to estate of the 2nd owner. This car is out of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, always a dry climate example. 1973 would be the first year of Chevrolet's distinctive 2nd generation personal luxury coupe, with its curvaceous fenders and round headlamps that blend into the round upper fenders. ENJOY THE DRIVE VIDEO AND CLOSE UP HIGH DEFINITION TOUR OF THIS MONTE CARLO BELOW https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0Swo_Qjees SEE THE SPECIAL HIGH DEFINITION VIDEO OF THIS MONTE CARLO IN ACTION ABOVE ^^ You're looking at an incredibly well preserved example of Motor Trend's 1973 Car of the Year. The exterior showcases the original code 74 Dark Red Poly Metallic red color while the interior features medium red knit-cloth seating. All of the chrome and stainless trim display brilliantly on this Monte Carlo. Just check out those bumpers. The body panels align correctly. The vinyl top is original and in excellent condition. All of the date coded LOF Safety glass glistens and does NOT have the vertical scratches on the door glass this era of GM cars were known for. The interior is just beautiful. The dash, headliner, package tray, seats, door panels, carpeting, floor mats, and headliner are just remarkable. There are no mysterious stains or odors. The power windows and locks function correctly. The cruise control engages properly. The gauges and warning lamps work. The windows roll up smoothly. This car always starts right up, the choke engages. This car shifts and stops smoothly. Be sure to check out the video test drive - There are no shakes, shimmies, pulling, etc. This is just a highway cruiser on sunny weekends or everyday! The original Rally Wheels are fitted with matching raised white letter radial tires all around. Again, this is a dry climate car. The rocker panels, door jambs, frame, and flooring is solid. The radio does not work. There are numerous minute chips or scratches as should be expected on a 43 year old well-maintained finish. There are some paint blemishes around the vents on the hood by the windshield, not rust (see pics) just enough patina the kids are so crazy about these days! I don't feel it justifies repainting the hood, small area could be blended in by a very good body man. The title reads "exempt" due to the age of the car and is being sold as such.
