1964 Chevrolet Corvair Additional Info:
Hi all, up for auction is a 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 Sedan. The car was bought by a gentleman in 1964 and used as an occasional driver for grocery getting and going to church. The car was parked in the 90's, and sat until around 2008 when it was found, and had some work done to it by Corvair Ranch. This included rebuilt carbs, rebuilt generator, full tune up, new light bulbs where needed, new master cylinder and rubber lines, new fuel gauge sender, and some other small pieces. The tires are a few years old but are in good condition. This car is ready to go- brakes work well, all lights work (including dome light and license light), engine starts right up and runs smoothly, and the transmission is smooth. The car has no rust, aside from surface rust on the passenger rear door where the paint was re-sprayed many years ago and is peeling (pictured). This car retains the original 110hp engine and its power glide 2 speed automatic transmission. Original AM radio works well and sounds great. I am including a full clark's catalog set and a few other books as well as a full set of basic weatherstrips (drivers door leaks slightly), spare fan belts, and other miscellaneous parts. For full disclosure, the car is missing the front carpet and the toe pan, but this is just cosmetic and can be bought easily. Also, the driver's side headlight trim is a little mangled due to a dent I tried to straighten, but its better than it was. There is a small dent under the rear driver door handle, and a small dent on the decklid. The paint on the passenger rear door, as stated before, is not great and could use a proper prep and respray. All around, the car is a good 7-10 footer paint wise. Electrically, the car is perfect. The generator charges well, and the distributor has a pertronix ignition unit. All the lights work, and will pass inspection. The brakes are good and firm. The heat works well, and the fan blows strong.Feel free to call or text me at 4434255457 if you'd like to talk about the car.YouTube Videoof the car running, and a walk aroundPlease inquire for reserve price: It is lower than the buy it now.
