The design of the 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has become one of those that we appreciate so much more as it further matures into classic status. We have not been able to keep these late '70s Z/28's in our showroom lately, and that's why we love the upgrades on this one even more. With custom red paint, newer interior, and a later model fuel-injected 350 V8 under the hood, this is a classic Camaro with all the features you want, including a value price. You know you love the look of these later 2nd generation Camaros. The angular design could have almost passed for European if they were not just so darn aggressive. You can see it perfectly on this custom red coupe that's blacked-out for intimidation on places like the grille, headlight surrounds, iconic hood cowl, and even the taillights are smoked for a dark attitude. This one still carries all the correct Z/28 features, like the chin spoiler that wraps around to the wheel openings, fender vent, and the ducktail spoiler out back. The final part of this intimidating package are the shiny 15-inch Centerline five-spoke wheels with wider rear tires for an aggressive stance.Nothing goes better with all those aggressive black touches on the outside than a full black interior on the inside. Everything looks fresh and dark, including the bucket seats, center console, door panels, and carpeting. That's because the interior was updated to match to cool color scheme. You get all the great period-correct touches, including the four-spoke steering wheel with Z/28 horn cap, and there's also the round gauge package with tachometer. Plus, this one has luxury features such as power windows and provisions for air conditioning. But as factory-spec as this one feels, one modern upgrade that's easy to spot (and always welcomed) is the AM/FM/CD stereo that allows you to crank more modern tunes in you classic Camaro. But it's under the hood where you get the best upgrade. The engine bay has the unmistakable appearance of a much later model fuel injected 350 cubic inch V8 with Tuned Port Injection (TPI). That means this classic has added power and reliability thanks to the turn-key, computer-controlled small-block. The H-pipe dual exhaust even has a little extra rumble to let people know this one is something special. Beyond just adding some very necessary extra performance, the more modern Camaro motor gives this sports car a much more complete driving experience. This feeling is backed up by the four-speed overdrive transmission, also from the same donor Camaro, power steering, and front disc brakes. So it's a pleasant cruiser masking as a classic Chevy. This great-looking 1979 Camaro Z/28 now has the power you always knew it should have. It's the custom car you've always wanted at the perfect affordable price. Call today!!
