This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster is in Rally Red with Black.
An L88 recreation or "Resto-mod".This is a Frame off restoration.
Paint is in flawless condition. Gaps and panel fit are excellent.Period correct 427 block with original aluminum L-88 heads from the Winters factory.
The L88 was best described as full race motor available to the public for street use. A very limited production car at approx only 20 built.
Motor is stroked to 496 cu in. and 600 hp. This incorporates all the excitement of the L-88 with excellent reliability and drive-ability on pump gas.
Electronic ignition.
Electric plus stock radiator fans (the car runs very cool which was an inherent problem on original L88 cars.)
High torque starter.
Custom Headers and 3” side pipe exhaust.
J56 factory big brakes (power).
F41 Sway bars.
Transmission is a rebuilt Muncie M21 close ratio 4 speed. 3.50 rear end creates a great balance between acceleration and cruising.
Interior is in excellent condition with its original leather seats with headrests. Lap belts plus shoulder belts. Factory delete heater and radiator as was the L88.
The soft top is new and has a very good fit.
Two sets of rims included with the sale. Wheels currently on the car: 17x8 American racing on 22/55/17 rears and 225/50-17 fronts. Original rally wheels with caps are 15x7 w/ 225/70- 15’s.
A well sorted car that with an excellent fit and finish.
