1967 Chevrolet Corvette L71 427/435 Roadster Additional Info:
You are looking at a beautiful 1967 Corvette painted in its original color, Goodwood Green, with the desirable 427/435HP L71 Engine Package (Build Sheet Photo included). This vehicle was purchased by the last owner in 1994 from a Chevrolet dealer in Michigan(Receipt Attached) known for selling high-end collectible vehicles acquired through sources in California. The vehicle was driven about 1500 miles during that 24 years of ownership and was restored prior to his ownership. The older gentlemen (70+ Yrs Old) owned multiple collector cars and just did not drive them much.If you saw this car in person you would never guess in a million years that it was a 25+ year old restoration. The pictures should speak for themselves as to the quality of this car. It really is a NCRS quality car though it has never been judged. You can see from the stamps, engine, hoses, paint, interior, plug wires, etc. that this car was spared no expense for originality. The dash badge codes match the paint color and interior trim. The engine stamp and VIN badge match as well. The M21 transmission was replaced at some time with an era appropriate transmission. This is a close ration 4-speed transmission as per the build sheet. Other than the transmission itself, I believe the rest of the drive train is original. The wheels are copies of the originals but are 25+ year old copies. The lines on the car look great and the paint, while not perfect (25+ Years old), looks amazing with very little crazing and no dullness at all, very deep in shiny. Keep in mind this car was rarely driven and always stored inside. The car drives great, even on the bias-ply BF Goodrich Silvertown tires, which are also in great shape. Radials would make the car drive like a dream but the tires are in great shape and I like the original look. The engine starts as it should and idles perfectly at about 800-900RPM's. No oil smoke and valve noises or knocking, other than what would be expected from a solid lifter flat tappet cam original setup. You can see from the valve train picture that this engine is super clean. I have been running a mix of 93 Octane with 110 Octane leaded racing fuel. I don't know if it requires the racing fuel but it makes me feel better and it smells great! I only used Joe Gibbs HR5 10W-30 racing oil for the high zinc these engines like. The car has power brakes, manual steering and no AC. These were the only options for this car since it was built for speed. I will try to post a link for YouTube to add some videos when I have the time and figure out how. If you are a serious buyer and have the cash to buy a car like this, you can always call me at 804-512-8979 to ask any questions. You know what you are looking at so please do not waste my time or yours unless you are very serious.
The car receive about 6000.00 in mechanical work when I acquired it from the previous owner. I kept the original radiator that was removed. Here is a list of what was done:Installed new Dewitts Direct Fit Black Aluminum RadiatorSet Timing and Air/Fuel MixtureRebuilt all 3 Holley CarbsReplaced All Original Plug Wires (One was bad)Replaced Spark PlugsReplaced both front brake calipers due to leakageFixed any leaking seals on transmissionReplaced heater resistorInstalled reverse/backup switch on transmissionChanged every fluid in the car from front to rearReplaced seals between exhaust manifold and side pipesAnything else that needed maintainingInstalled a custom Antique battery to match the original (6 Months Old)Running Joe Gibbs Racing HR5 10W-40 and Replacement WIX Filter Element
Condition Overall - I would rank the car 9 out of 10 conservatively. It is a beautiful car and very original. If runs and drives well. The paint is in excellent condition for its age. The interior is also in excellent condition with no rips and the seats and no worn carpet. The windshield looks to be original or very old with some wear to the glass, but no cracks or chips (I like that!) There is no rust visible anywhere on the car nor do I have any reason to believe it has ever existed. The white top is in great shape with no holes or tears. You could eat of the bottom of this car (See Pics). I only have a photocopy of the build sheet on photo paper. This came from the previous owner and no original tank sticker exists, only photocopy. The info on the build sheet matches every number and feature on the car.
What works on the car: Heat, Headlights (Motors, Low and High Beam), Turn Signals, Brake Lights, Reverse Lights, Hazards, Radio, Dash Lights, etc.
What does not work on the car: The clock and the odometer. The odometer(shows 24,593 miles but don't know real mileage)
needs the brass gears replaced and the clock probably needs an overhaul. The manual steering gear has a slight leak(not expensive and did not bother me).
Terms of Sale - I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as this car is also for sale locally. Payment can be made in person with cash or a money wire for online transactions. A 5000.00 deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction end. The car is sold where is and as is with no expressed warranties.

Car is going in for oil change and filter on 10/24. As mentioned, this car had every fluid flushed and replaced in the last 12 months. It will have new engine oil and filter as well when sold. You should just be able to drive and enjoy the car for many years to come with only annual oil changes.

Walk Around Video with Engine Running. Be sure to copy and paste link into your browser. It may not play from ebay app.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-vIaVA8SCY&feature=youtu.be
The video makes the car sound louder than it actually is with the ear due to the echo of the buildings nearby. This car is pleasant to drive at any speed and is not annoyingly loud at all. If you stomp the gas you will definitely turn heads. Highway speeds are super quiet. I will try to post more videos tomorrow on the way back from the oil change.
