1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-396 tribute Additional Info:
this 67 chevelle here has been restored as a SS-396 tribute and as near perfect to that as they get.the only real difference is the digits in the vin. ( 13617)its also been treated to a complete body off in the process.its an original butternut yellow color code and black bucket seats also.the big block is dressed out to the original specs.the transmission is a 4-speed muncie and 12-bolt rearend.the body is exceptionally good.floors, trunk, quarters, rockers, and all the other sheetmetal is excellent.paint is very nice definately a 9.car has been done top notch.it is extremely highly detailed through out,top to bottom!look at the pictures.all glass is good, all chrome and stainless is nice.all body gaps are good too.car still retains all 4, "t-3" headlights.its also a high option car as well.19 total, heres a list:
AO2-tinted windshield D34-day/nite mirror N40-power steering U25-under hood light
A39-deluxe seat belts D96-body side stripe PW8-red line tires U26-trunk light
A51-bucket seats J50-power brakes U03-tri-volume horns U63-push button radio
C08-vynil top J52-disc brakes UI4-gauges V01-heavy duty radiator
D55-console with floor shift N34-sport style wheel UI6-tachometer
cars like this thats never been abused are getting harder and harder to find.most people are keepin them longer?so the good ones are scarce.most everything works.all lights,gauges,tach,horn,ect.....the wipers has just started with a mind of their own?dont know if its a ground or the switch is starting to go away?doors shut good and tight,as does the trunk and hood.as far as the value on cars like this goes, the CPI black book is a good one to use .most classic auctions have these.CPI doesnt list a catagory "1".they only represent catagory "2"and"3".......(the "1" class are so few to be found or sold now, that they are generally 100%original cars or 1,000 point class show examples)....this car definately falls under the "2" classification.in the current book it shows a standard s.b.low optioned ca, but nice,at $39,000...a SS-396 at $58,500...i would estimate this car would fall in between these figures.actual auction results and private sales are how these results are calculated....but its also an average too....................my reserve though is alot lower than either of these numbers?....so somebodys going to get a bargain.
look at my last feedback entry, the last chevelle i sold went a dealer in another state...he quoted" very nice chevelle, will do business again.".............but listen.ive been having people new to ebay bid and evidently not fully read the description...please contact me thru ebay here before you bid?..especially if you have fewer than 10 or so feedback.thank you.
im a dealer doing business as hathcock auto sales and restoration.i dont sell junk,so what you see is and read is what you get.as like all vehicles this old,if your bidding, your accepting it as-is.no warranty exspressed or implied.if you have to get permission from someone else to bid or purchase, then get that before hand.and please only bid if you have the funds available .im not going to wait on a loan to go through or for an appraisal co.this not only waste my run time for the auction, but it does for someone elses chance to get the car they really want.there is no deposit to be put down,BUT,within 3 days from auctions end full payment will required or it will be offered to second high bidder i have to do this because im not readidly available at times.im firm on my terms.i have to be like this because of a few bad apples?im serious about this and i would think you would be too.do your due diligence before bidding.used vehicles this age has faults of theyre own, seen and un-seen.un-forseen things could exist that are not known by past or present buyers or sellers.all statements here are based on opinion?upon winning bid or purchase, you acknowledge you have read and understand the info stated here.you also relieve the seller blameless of any information contained or omited..you have to list this stuff because a few people will think your responsible for knowing or should know the whole life of the car since it was new? which i dont.i have a friend that is a dispatcher at a major transport service.most of the time he can get cars moved for around .50 to .60 cents a mile.thats extremely cheap.this is a very nice car,so bid to own it.
