1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Additional Info:
this 66 chevelle has one of the best bodies out there that youll find.it is a fabulous car!its not really been restored.its more like preserved.its had one re-paint and 1 new top since new.it still retains most of the original interior.i think only the carpet and front seat upholstery has been up dated.it has all its original wetherstriping like window felts, door and trunk rubber,ect...all still soft!the chrome trim is excellent.including the bumpers.all trim and stainless looks like repos but theyre the originals, theyre that good......this cars never been a rusty rebuild like alot of convertibles are.it still retains all of its original sheetmetal, like quarters,rockers,floors,trunk,ect......all are extremely nice.this is also a original regal red car from the factory.it also was ordered like you see it,black interior with white top?....(most black interior cars had black tops)another point to mention is this is a 96,000 mile car.it has near flawless pain, definately a 9.extremely slick.it does have a ever so slight blemish here or there, but a high detail digital camera cant detect.very beautiful car.the low miles does help identify the condition it.its not considered a plain run of the mill car.it has alot of unique options,a total of 22.heres the full list:
AO2-tinted windshield D55-console with floor shift N34-sport style wheel U26-under hood light
A39-deluxe seat belts J50-power brakes PW8-red stripe tires U63-push button radio

A90-trunk release M38-automatic transmission UI4-gauges 986965-tissue dispenser
C10-opticlean bottle N10-dual exhaust U16-tachometer
D34-day/nite mirror N40-power steering U25-trunk light
car runs &drives like a new 66 chevelle! it should, its not worn out.cars like this thats never been abused are getting extremely hard to find, plus add the fact with low miles &highly optioned make it even rarer.and 1 of only 5249 convertibles built that year.as you can tell by the pictures, this car has been highly detailed through out,top to bottom!all the under carriage is as nice as under the hood.most everything works.all panel gaps are consistent with each other.all chrome and stainless is so nice,it looks replaced with repo, but its the original.car actually looks better than what it does in the pictures!...it even still retains its 4 t-3 headlights.
as far as the price value for this car, the CPI black book is one that the major auctions use like gaa and mecum.CPI doesnt list a catagory "1"car in their book.usually the "1" cars are unrestored original cars or ones that have been restored with mostly NOS parts,or 1000 point class cars..they only list catagory "2" &"3" cars.this car definatly falls under a "2" classification.in the book i have which is 6 months old it shows this car at $43,800.not factoring in low miles and lots of options.these figures are compiled by actual car auction results and individual transactions......the reserve on this car is alot lower than that!somebodys going to get a extremely nice car....im having alot of people bid on cars and not fully read all the description.please contact me if you have fewer than 10 to 15 feedback.
im a dealer doing business as hathcock auto sales &restoration.i dont sell junk,so what you see &read is what you get.as like all vehicles this old,if your bidding, your accepting it as-is.no warranty, expressed or implied.if you have to get permission from someone else to bid or purchase, then get that before hand.and please only bid if you have the funds available .im not going to wait for a loan to be approved or an appraisal co.this not only waste my run tim, but it takes away someone elses chance to get the car they want.there is no deposit to be put down,....BUT,within 3 days full payment will be required.if un paid,it will be offered to next highest bidder.i have to do this because im not readidly available at times.im firm on my terms.i have to be like this because of a few bad apples?im serious about this and i would think you would be too.do your due diligence before bidding.used vehicles this age has faults of their own, seen and un-seen.un-foreseen things could exist that are or were not known by past or present sellers and owners.all statements are based on opinion.upon winning bid or purchase you acknowledge you have read and understand the info stated here and you relieve the seller blameless for information contained here or omited.....you have to list stuff like this.because some people think your responsible for knowing or should know the whole life of a car since it was new?which i dont.
i have a friend that is a dispatcher for a major transporter.he can usually get cars moved for around .50 to .60 cents a mile?thats cheap.....this is a real nice car, nobodys going to be dissapointed in it.so bid to own it.
