1941 Chevrolet Coupe Additional Info:
This is a 1941 Chevy Coupe, special deluxe. I got the car in a trade, so I can only tell so much about the car. It has a small block chevy with aluminum intake, aluminum air cleaner, and aluminum valve covers. Motor sounds and runs good. Sounds like it has a mild RV cam. Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Color is viper red. Body is sitting on a newer chassis, off a newer car. I think it is a 89 chevy Monte Carlos chassis, the small Monte Carlos. Not sitting on the old 41 chevy frame, so it has a nice ride with the current frame. 17 inch torque thrust wheels. New headers, new mufflers, new exhaust. It has power brakes, and disc brakes in the front. New Dolphin gauges. Temp gauge, oil pressure gauges work. I do not think the gas gauge, or the speedometer gauges have been hooked up. Trunk floor pan, I believe is original. From the back window to the front of the bottom seats I believe is a new floor pan. Possibly off a Monte Carlo. From the front seats to the firewall is all new fabricated floor with steel. All glass is good. Running lights, stop lights, turn signals, bright and dim all work. It has leather interior, with some vinyl inserts in places. Car has airbags in the front and rear. It is an older build, has some small issues, but nothing that cannot be fixed. For example, one power steering pump has a small leak. Air ride system has a small leak somewhere, I have replaced the compressor, and a lot of the fittings. One of the front passenger tires has a scratch/slight cuts. All tires in good shape. They have tread, not cracked. Personally, I think it could use a narrower tire and rim in the front. From what I can see, car has no rust anywhere. Hood was not closed correctly when I took the pictures. Hood chrome needs to be bolted and mounted correctly. It is kind of just placed on the car. Some of the chrome I noticed looked to be re-chromed, and has a few spots that are peeling. Some of the chrome pieces in front of the car on the grill, are missing. I have a few pieces. Although, its an older build, it is still a nice car.
Like I said, I got the car in a trade. Can only tell you what I know. Feel free to call me for any other questions, or more pictures.BT575-640-5339
