Nice driver!
Vehicle Details
1968 Chevy Camaro V8 with 3- speed automatic transmission. NO RESERVE! Clean clear title in my name. Overall ready to drive. Nice solid driver quality car. The car was originally Butternut yellow and has been painted black. A cowl hood was also added. Car is a V8 car but the motor is a non-original V8, block #14010207 which codes as an 80-85 4 bolt main with two piece rear main seal (this is from my research, feel free to do your own). Car is not a true SS but again is a V8 car. Shifter was originally on the column, but a B & M Star shifter was installed at some point. It looks to be a fairly recent restoration. The paint itself is very nice, the bodywork prior to paint was just OK. Frame connectors were also welded in and traction bars added. It looks like almost all of the exterior trim is either new or was excellent. The interior has many new pieces, including door panels, dash pad and carpet, also has new SS floor mats and a mew package tray. The gauges seem to work well. Radio delete. Wipers do not work. The headlights work both high/low beam. Brake lights are good. Directionals do not flash, probably easy fix. Rear seat is the original and is in great shape. The front seats could use a recover, primarily the driver seat. It also needs a headliner and trim. It starts right up and runs and drives well. Headers and new exhaust give it a nice rumble. It has power drum brakes that stop it very well. Manual steering. No heat, no A/C. Since the suspension has not been upgraded, overall it rides like a 1968 car. I paid for a report from NCRS and the car was originally sold at a dealership in NY. I then got a license plate frame and key fob with the original dealers name which I thought was cool (see pics). I have had the car for about four years and just don’t use it enough. I’ve taken it for a few rides through the neighborhood and other than that it just sits in the garage. I have other projects that I want to move on to and it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. Drive it as it is? Take it to the next level? Do more upgrades? That’s up to you. It probably needs a few odds and ends that I’ve forgotten as it is an almost 60 year old car, but overall to start out you have a nice driver that you can have fun with right now and not a basket case project that you’ll never finish. Please look at the pictures as they are a big part of the description. Feel free to ask any questions, and if I can answer them, I will. Car is for sale as-is, where-is with no warranty. You are welcome to see the car before bidding. Please only bid if you are serious about buying the car, have the funds and a plan to pick up or have shipped, etc. Thank you!
